The ResponsibilitiesPurpose of the roleResponsibility for the delivery and integrity of monthly financial information (balance sheet, profit & loss , EXCO Packs and adhoc queries)Provide and support input into the end to end control and ownership of divisional P&L, Flash, monthly EXCO Packs and understanding balance sheets accruals/ provisions for the division supported.Responsible for consolidation for services & functions and delivery of management reporting.Responsible for delivery of specific financial queries received from UK and India Legal entities.The role involves participating in a team across GFS India and UK who are responsible for co-ordinating and delivering the appropriate financial reporting for activity for the division supported.DeliverablesOwn delivery of Flash, FLR, Exco, adhoc reports and insightful analysis within a controlled framework.Coordination & delivery of end to end GFS Budget process. Aligning to UK & India teams to make sure the effective delivery.Support GFS teams India / onshore for adhoc analysisEstablishing sturdy working relationship with the stakeholders in UK / India and managing them wellSupport and input into a framework for management review and challenge of substantiation and reconciliation outputs.Provide input and support process improvements using LEAN techniques, ensuring BAU and development activities are the focus of continuous improvementsInput and contribute to the resolution of complex issues impacting the financial system including associated processing and reporting.Support and input into the robust analytical procedures over the profit and loss and flush out any errors in the financials.Help and support the proactive identification, resolving and providing solutions to issues arising from financials produced for the division supported, using analytical and technical accounting skills.Awareness of changes to business requirements ensuring any impacts to outputs is sufficiently assessed and appropriate changes are implemented within required timescales.The RequirementsExperiencePreferably, a professional qualification with at least 8/9 years of experience in a finance functionManagement of a finance team including the delivery of MI and the process of review and challenge .Ability to meet tight deadlines and high quality output.Building strong business relationships in a changing and fast-moving environment.Other Significant Role RequirementsStrong communication (written and verbal) skillsStrong command over Commentary writing skillsProficient knowledge of Reporting/Budgeting /Planning with strong analytical skills.Working autonomously to prioritise own and colleagues workload in a time-pressured environmentTrack record of fostering strong customer relationships through delivering on commitmentsAbility to multi-task and prioritize work appropriately , Self-motivated and delivery focusedGood problem-solving skills, with proven ability to apply finance knowledge and experience to a diverse range of financial issues.Technical KnowledgeExperience of accounting software applications.Knowledge of banking applications eg Walker; INEA; HyperionMS Office (Excel, Word)Understanding of MS access / Macros would be an advantage
