Knowledge/ExperienceIntermediate to senior level experience in a related role with commensurate people management experienceOwnership of budgets with a keen eye on managing costs and cutting wastesAbility to engage, motivate and inspire a large team of individualsExposure to hiring process, performance management discussions, promotion process, etc. is a mustAbility to handle difficult conversations and adept at conflict resolutionsMust have a good understanding of controls systems & proven expertise in building new controlsMust use knowledge to resolve difficult reconciliation issuesMust have the experience of leveraging past experience to identify possible issues before they arise and also to be pro-active in resolving such issuesMust have had the experience of multi-tasking by taking on extra ad-hoc tasks without letting the day-to-day tasks sufferExperience in a control, process or reconciliation environment preferentialShould have worked with demanding clients challenging the individuals limitsKnowledge of recon systems including TLM will be an added advantageSkills & CompetenciesGood Accounting knowledge & analytical skillsAbility to extensively multi task since the role is extremely demandingAbility to work under high pressure situations yet maintaining a calm and composed style to not pass down the pressure down the chain impacting the larger teamManaging Client Relations - Not fully necessary but would be advantageousSelf Motivated/Results OrientatedProject Management - Not fully necessary but would be advantageousExcellent team playerDisplays confidence in dealing with customers and colleaguesMaintains a control focus at all timesExcellent written and oral communication skillsMust have good time management skills.Committed to deadlinesHighly responsive and responsibleAbility to foresee changing needs of clients, to think through and think strategically to identify solutions proactivelyGood networking skillsAbility to identify control gaps and plug loopholesEye for detail is a mustAbility to foster a culture that respects diverse views, encourages challenging the status quo and maintains an inclusive environmentAbility to quickly adapt to changing dynamic environmentsShould be flexible with work shifts and be ready to work in different shifts with short notice
