Operational Responsibilities Provide support to teams performing various reconciliations and reporting functions, handle research and clearance of reconciliation items. Monitor compliance with SLA and other internal guidelines of policies relating to the business area he/she is going to handle and must be controls conscious. Participate in standardization and continuous improvement initiatives as well as other business partner initiatives, be flexible and change ready in a dynamic work environment. Maintain close contact with customer / business partners, Technologies and other interface groups. Consistently work towards anticipating, meeting and exceeding customers requirements whilst ensuring effective teamwork at all times. Maintain high accuracy, productivity standards and demonstrate a high willingness to learn.Leadership Responsibilities Lead and coach a team of 4-10 direct reports, by providing work direction and support team on process or procedures related to deliverables or customer service standards and techniques. Assist and coach direct reports in resolving complex or high priority service issues, or respond to and resolve such issues directly, as necessary. Manage direct report workload and provide guidance in prioritizing work to meet or exceed all accuracy, processing, and work quality metrics and standards. Participate in and provide subject matter expertise on cross-functional projects and/or process improvement teams that have implications to the job area. Provide feedback to direct reports through effective performance management practices; ensure employees are developing skills to promote both team and individual success. Communicate with various internal & external departments as needed.Required Qualifications Understanding of accounting process like Inter-Company, Client Accounting, Certificate Accounting & Advisor Accounting, Institutional and Custodian reconciliations, etc. Knowledge of SOX Compliance and Audit. Consult with business partners on the best way to present content and increase usability. Conduct needs assessments, develop project plans, facilitate meetings and perform other consulting roles to develop effective way of Process development. Build strong working relationships with all levels of the organization and treat internal clients with outstanding customer service. The incumbent will also be responsible for developing and implementing project related strategies and providing tactical thought leadership. Ability to work independently as well as collaborate with cross-functional teams. The incumbent should either be Chartered Accountant / CA (Inter) / CPA with 3 - 4 years of post-qualification experience or a MBA / B. Com with minimum 5-8 years of post-qualification experience. 2-3 years of people management skills. Must have good system skills viz. MS Excel, Word, PPT. Knowledge of Investment tools and systems like Reconciliation tool (Frontier) and Accounting system (HiPortfolio /GIM 2000), and Research tool (Bloomberg) will be an added advantage. Knowledge in Accounting & Capital market/Investment products. Must have sound analytical and problem solving skills. Must have good communication and interpersonal skills and be able to interact independently with senior business partners / customers etc. Reporting and analysis experience will be a distinct advantage.
