Responsibilities Work with application partners and infrastructure peers, participating in all aspects of the change process including execution, workflow management, escalation, and planning. Change execution during weekend shift which is where the highest volume of complex and time sensitive production change is executed. Participate in MEPC events ensuring planning, prechecks, and execution are addressed leading to successful events. Participate in Disaster Recovery events ensuring planning, prechecks, and execution are addressed leading to successful events. Manage customer escalation supporting change being executed by IPD Change Wintel team Perform changes related to DR, Data center moves, Capacity management etc on Wintel platforms. The changes will include working on Disaster Resiliency events, Major Power Downs, Data Center moves etc. Working experience of Distributed servers, operating system is essential. The environment consists of a combination of physical and virtual servers across all disciplines with an emphasis towards virtualization. Service Request/Change process Assignment, adherence, data quality, client updates and metrics. SLA Adherence Change Assignments Review and Assign all ITSM task assigned to your group within 1 business day . Reassign task as needed based on resource availability Reinforce the Activator needs to accept their tasks daily when on shift and not wait until just prior to the implementation CSA (Audit) review and tracking working with the controls team to provide updates. Handover to cross regions.Qualifications B.E, or equivalent degree Working in a complex distributed technical environment Experience with deploying and administering distributed platform Operating systems(Standard & Enterprise if applicable). Knowledge of multiple clustered environments. Minimum 5-12 years experience on Windows systems in production support environment. Understanding of security best practices for multi-tiered operating systems. Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Tivoli. Familiarity with VERITAS Volume manager. Familiarity with scripting & automation tools. Should possess knowledge on VB or Powershell scripting. ITIL Process experience - Incident Management, Change Management & Problem Management required. Exposure with Windows 2003/2008/2012 Operating System. Basic knowledge of SAN/NAS/VERITAS NetBackup software. Essential Technically proficient in server hardware/software, network and storage technologies. Excellent verbal and written communication skills with experience in direct internal and external customer relationship management. Strong planning and execution skills. Ability to learn new and different technologies to a working depth quickly. Systems and network management. Creative problem solving. 24/7 customer support and service delivery experience. Performance metrics & reporting. Change management, Incident Management experience. Lead by example. Ability to work under pressure and develop strong client relationships
