Job DescriptionJob SummaryThis role will be responsible for managing operations of the customer support functionslike sales, market development and service both in India and globally, and ensure consistent growth in revenues and customer satisfaction. Role and ResponsibilitiesStrategicLiaise with CEO and Senior Management team for formulation of Marketing, Sales & Service strategies, both long and short termResponsible for preparing action plans for effective search of sales leads and prospects Responsible for identification and initiation of sales opportunities for new and existing accountsResponsible for interacting with key customers and prospects on pre-sale activities including customer visits, evaluation of opportunities, and development of proposalsLiaise with internal stakeholders including MMT to ensure effective sales interaction with the customersLiaise with CEO, senior management team to manage product pricing based on specific objectives such as sales, volume, market share, customer requirements etc.Responsible for presenting, negotiating, approving and managing the terms and conditions associated with sale agreements / contractsManage existing key customer relationships and interact with key customers to monitor customer satisfaction and handle key customer escalations (if any)Liaise with Strategic Planning and Analytics Head to develop, monitor and execute business development strategy (including market analysis, revenue planning, forecasting)Provide inputs for developing marketing collaterals, advertising campaigns and key brand messages and brand communications to increase brand recallDrive strategic market and brand positioning of the companyEnsure implementation of the marketing and brand strategy of the organizationLiaise with MMT and ensure alignment of the marketing plans to deliver a unified Company brand experience to the end customerEnsure effective execution of marketing strategies and plans (Including Channel / Product / Region specific programs)Ensure marketing plans are met with appropriate ROI achievementOperationalMonitor, measure and report on operational issues, opportunities and development plans and achievements to CEO within agreed formats and timescalesPrepare and execute the operating budget for effective Sales & Service delivery and ensures expenditure is within budgetsClosely monitor and analyze sales volumes, market share trends and competitive landscapeProvide periodic updates to CEO on effective execution of promotional activities as per calendar (e.g. (Exhibitions, Seminars, and Promotional Events etc.)Assists in the preparation for all brand presentations, including business plans and sales meetingsPerforming regular communication audits to ensure consistency and optimization of brand positioningPeople managementDevelop a robust talent pipeline; ensure availability of quality talent to support the functionEnsure skill development and adequate trainings are provided in line with the products represented by the companyResponsible for management of direct reports which includes performance management and skill enhancement activitiesProvide coaching, direction and leadership support to direct reports / team members in order to achieve business resultsExternal Interface Customers; Industry Associations; Channel Partners; ConsultantsInternal InteractionsCEO; Head Sales Domestic and export, Head Customer service; senior management; Head Strategic Planning & Analytics; Head Service; Head Market Development and Communication; Head Quality System and other senior members of Company and management team.Competency Comprehensive knowledge of market of Machine tool Industry, behaviour & its practises.Broad knowledge of evidence-based marketing techniquesGood understanding of organizational structures, financial statements preparation and analysisConfident negotiator and ability to close the right type of business at the highest levelsAn ability to represent the company at the highest level to clients and agencies.Experience of product development and contributing to pricing policy discussionsCapable of hands on problem-solving, with ability to generate ideas and solutionsA positive and determined approach to researching and analysing new business opportunitiesAdequate knowledge of search engine / on line marketingExceptional written & verbal communication skills.
Degree: MBA/ PGDM

Additional Degree: BE/ B.Tech (Engineering)
