The ResponsibilitiesDelivery of change programmes and organisational initiatives in line with specific measures of successDelivery of IR strategy and planProvision of fit for purpose specialist advice and support to the regional HR and business leadership teams so that potential employment risks can be identified and mitigated as appropriateMaximise understanding of business needs by proactively putting forward initiatives to add value to the businessSuccessful delivery of innovative solutions to enhance business performanceCollaboration and knowledge sharing by ensuring that Group ER requirements meet local/regional business needs and educating both local and Group based HR and business colleagues on practical solutions and employee risk mitigation strategiesInform and advance knowledge capability across India HR teams in all areas of ER.Act as the ER representative on Group wide programmes which have significant employee relations and/or employment law implications in India.LeadershipPeople management of policy consultants at appointed and managerial level to ensure consistency of approach and measurementsFirst Line of Defence (1LOD)Compliance with relevant Group Policies, testing and certifying (or considers and escalates) the adequacy and effectiveness of the business s controls on a regular basisEstablish and document (or follow and/or maintain) operating procedures which include relevant controls to meet Group and local policy requirementsManage a team of ER consultants, spread across 3 key India locations.Delivering through people Leading othersBurning drive for resultsProfessional development of the teamProvide guidance to the team while they support HR and the business on ER cases.Act as an enabler for team initiatives and functional development. The RequirementsEssentialAt least 10 years HR experience within a global organisationExperience of transformational business changeEmployee relations experience within a unionised environment across several geographiesKnowledge of world class policies and best practiceExperience of developing the HR and business relationships to drive business performance and understanding.Skill to probe and evaluate complex situationsKnowledge and understanding of IndianEmployment laws and HR best practiceKnowledge of Labour Law ComplianceExposure to Domestic enquiries, Union negotiations and Labour court
Additional Degree: BA (Arts) | B.Com. (Commerce) | B.Pharm. (Pharmacy) | B.Plan. (Planning) | B.Sc. (Science) | BBA/ BBM/ BBS | BCA (Computer Application) | Diploma-Other Diploma | B.Ed. (Education) | BHM (Hotel Management)
