Primary responsibilityLeads people project and execution in the region. Ensures execution and implementation of people plan in the region, by partnering with the regional business operations team.QualificationPost Graduate degree in Human ResourcesTypical Work ExperienceExperience of 4 to 7 years in QSR, Retail or Hotel industryKey Responsibility AreasSourcing & RecruitmentResp. for new store hiring, management trainees (Campus recruits)Support in the hiring of associate - maintenance roles and delivery ridersIdentification of sources of recruitment for above mentioned roles incl. NGOs / Training Institutes/ Government bodies, etc.Partner with Operations on manpower planning (as it depends on location, services offered, etc.)Campus Hiring & InductionEvaluate and partner with graduate campuses for hiring processes (right from employer branding at campus to the offer letter)Pre Joining engagement Program city wise incl. measures like guest lectures on campuses, campus connects, etc.Organization Onboarding, Orientation and InductionAnalysis & Action Planning Campus Joiners Monitor Performance, attendance & development milestones etc. during the first 9 months of joining ( till the point they become a restaurant assistant Manager) and report plus drive results/ action planning through Operations ConsultantsLead employee opinion surveys for respective regions (for crew and management), review and action plan basis the resultsResponsible for qualitative analysis/ monthly report (management stability, attrition, restaurant staffing, etc.)Partner with Ops Consultant/ Managers on Quarterly Business Review from people priorities perspective (this includes diagnosis/action planning/ delivering on the set people plans)Review staffing situation (Hiring Diagnostic) given trade area changes, competition build up in nearby, store expansionPeople Development Lead the Performance Management system (performance and talent calibration) from Trainee manager level up-to Restaurant manager levelEnsure Ops Consultants/ Restaurant Managers are trained on this system for performance dialogues and for managing the talent calibration sessionsEnsure the Ops Consultants implement and document the performance management plans for their regionFacilitate the succession planning for Restaurant Trainee Managers and above rolesPeople Engagement Plans Drive the engagement calendar on a quarterly calendar (e.g. recognition events, competitions, etc.)Ensure execution of quarterly communication forums incl. delivery of the people communication agendaEmployee Relations & CompliancesHave understanding of labor law related statutory requirement of the state, review of the compliance reports sent by Ops consultants, display of required law Abstracts at the stores, execution of the sexual harassment policy, Liaise with local Labor consultants on matters related to labor inspections , response to notices, license procurement & renewals, etc., facilitate ESIC utilization by employees under ESIC coverage and all related queriesResponsible for Annual review of outsourced vendors specifically Housekeeping, Security and Delivery teamsUnderstand and be able to train restaurant managers on Disciplinary Actions, involuntary exits cases, etc.Grievance Handling in cases of biased treatment by managers (termination, performance related ,etc.)Conduct random Exit Interviews from crew and regular exit interviews for all management employees SpecificHR projects Conceptualize, evaluate and implement new initiatives (usually national impact level projects like innovative recognition program, new employer branding programs at campus, etc.), CSR related project
Degree: MBA/ PGDM
