Overall purpose of roleResponsible for SAP HR Development activity; providing leadership and direction to SAP HR developers and configurers based in Asia.o In collaboration with ITHR Offshore Development Lead build strong relationships with local leadership, contributing to vision and strategic direction for IT HR in the Asia Pacific regiono Leading SAP HR development teams to deliver changes to SAP applications in support of client requirementso Communicating to team members to promote a clear line of sight and contribution to the delivery of the Functions Technology strategy and plano Manage effectively the quality of change to agreed service levels, ensuring that change is delivered successfullyo Ensure IT HR Development team adhere to policy and procedures, and are fully conversant with change principles and processeso Effectively manage risk to ensure Compliance to regulatory and mandatory policies Audit findings and Issue Assurances are fully addressedo Effectively manage developer resources to ensure Appropriate capabilities within the teams are maintained and developed The team is motivated and has ongoing commitment to the service An environment conducive to change is maintained Key Accountabilities and Skills requiredo Key specific accountabilities.o Effective delivery of projects and small change (ITHRs) managing resource supply/ demand to ensure delivery of portfolio within agreed timescaleso Complete all appropriate documentation required by the developers, testers, deployment team, and application management team that will maintain the application.o For ABAP developments review technical specifications. Ensure all developments follow agreed standards and naming conventionso Perform regular code reviews for ABAP developers to maintain quality coding. Provide feedback and guidance to ABAP developers following reviews.o Responsible for delivery of projects or small change (ITHRs) for SAP HR, encompassingo Requirements gathering from the cliento Production of functional specificationso Analysis of requirements and provision of technical advice where necessaryo Engagement and sign off from Engineers should the design require ito Configuration of SAP HR moduleso Unit & system testing of changeso Support for UATo Provision of detailed transition documentation to the support teamo Support of the deployment of changeso Adhering to standard Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) processes & documentationo Take responsibility for implementation of changes to ensure no live incidents associated with the change are raised o Stakeholder management and leadership.o Engage with senior stakeholders, such as Tech Partners and senior business leaderso Be an active member of the extended Functions Transformation leadership teamo Deputise for ITHR Offshore Development Lead when required, engaging with senior stakeholders and senior leaders to communicate progress, highlight risks and issues.o Attend ITHR Leadership meetings where requiredo Work allocation and management oversight of ITHR Development team, providing direction, coaching and support across the teamo Experience of managing virtual teams across time zoneso Decision making and problem solving.o Provide guidance and make recommendations on design and development decisionso Work with the ITHR Offshore Development Lead to ensure resources with requisite skills are available to meet current and future work demands of the functiono Manage third-level application support for SAP HR, ensuring timely resolution of incident and problem records.o Guide junior developers on incident and problem resolutiono Provide support and guidance to L1/L2 Run The Bank colleagues o Risk and Control All Barclays colleagues have to ensure that all activities and duties are carried out in full compliance with regulatory requirements, Enterprise Wide Risk Management Framework and internal Barclays Policies and Policy StandardsYour Skills and Qualifications will includeo Has a wide network within the organisation and shows integrity while addressing challenging situationso Experienced with planning, estimating, staffing, organising, and managing multiple projectso Ability to transform customer requirements into a workable design at the functional and/or technical levelso SAP HR experience to includeo ECC6 and SAP SuccessFactors (preferred)o Demonstrable track record of previous work on major ECC6 implementations.o Work allocation and ability to guide and coach ABAP Developerso Key Expertise ino SAP HR Process Design and Configurationo SAP HR ABAP Developmento SAP HR modules Including OM, PA, UK Payroll, Timeo Demonstrable experience of refining ambiguous business requirements and mapping them to SAP functionality. o Gathering functional requirements and mapping to SAP HR functionality, performing gap analysis. Creating appropriate design documents. Contributing to all aspects of development lifecycle.o Service management skillso Change deliveryo Strong focus on Risk Management including an understanding of Group policies
