Job PurposeThis role is accountable for delivering high quality results as part of the Programme Management Office (PMO) for HR Transformation.The PMO lead India and Asia will have an integral role in the successful execution of programmes across the region and driving the strategic priorities of HR Transformation in a dynamic, global and innovative environment.This role will provide an opportunity to drive the strategic agenda of HR through proactive programme management. It will also involve engaging with a broad range of stakeholders across the portfolio of programmes, HR, Finance, COOs and other Barclays stakeholders. Working closely with the User Readiness Lead India and Asia to land change in the regionGovernance and Portfolio / Programme Management (70%) Owning overall plan for India and Asia working as part of the broader HR transformation project. Ensure robust challenge on planning activities to meet the needs of the region Developing regional project and portfolio based reporting, in collaboration with Project Leads across streams. Engage with leaders across diverse streams to present an integrated view of HR Transformation for India and Asia. Delivery of high quality reports and status updates, to inform the HR Transformation leadership team. Develop presentations, materials and analysis that will form the basis of governance forums. Prepare Steering Committee papers, Programme Board agendas and other important materials to govern the achievement of strategic priorities and programme deliverables. Develop high level and detailed project plans to facilitate planning at a portfolio, stream and regional level. Identify critical path, dependencies and resource levelling etc to support decision making and tracking. Manage tools to track resources across the programme, ensuring resource optimisation across streams, and tracking of resource movements. Contribute to and support financial reporting, understanding variances and conducting analysis and providing insights for the leadership team. Use PMO tools effectively to ensure that the programme has strong tracking and records in place such as Project Status Reporting, RAIDs etc. Manage the RAIDs process, ensuring that risks, issues, decisions and actions are clearly articulated, understood and resolved. Utilise, contribute to, develop and enhance tools, approaches and methods for PMO. Contribute to a high performing team, delivering excellence in the execution of HR Transformation. Map and track benefits realisation across project work streams. Relationship and Stakeholder Management (30%)Work closely with the regional user readiness lead to ensure there is visibility across all activity to enable clear stakeholder management in India and Asia Collaborate with HR Transformation streams to integrate planning and project management practices. Drive consistent project management approaches and tools across teams. Contribute to stakeholder management through active management of HR Transformation and broader HR, Finance, COO and other Barclays key stakeholders.Identify stakeholder concerns and issues, and work to resolve these through escalation or resolution. Monitor stakeholder engagement and proactively manage expectations, drawing on the broader PMO team where appropriate.Risk and Control objectiveEnsure that all activities and duties are carried out in full compliance with regulatory requirements, Enterprise Wide Risk Management Framework and internal Barclays Policies StandardsSkills & Competencies Communication skills - written, verbal and oral Strong analytical and literacy skills Self-starter, able to work proactively and seek out opportunities to develop. Strong presentation skills, able to work with senior stakeholders. Evaluative judgement and analytical skills required. The individual should be adept at handling complex and changing environments. Good working knowledge of MS Office including strong PowerPoint, Excel and Project skills, in order to e.g. extract, manipulate and report programme / project financial and narrative information in a professional format. Strong interpersonal and influencing skills with the ability to influence and drive change in a collaborative way, including providing a challenge to programme and project managers with regard to e.g. programme / project costs, benefits, risks and scope creep Manages time well to meet competing priorities and performs well under pressure, including reporting hot spots at month end and external reporting periods Attention to detail in the production of data packs for decision makers, whilst not losing sight of the big picture and having consideration to the seniority / subject matter expertise of the target audience
Degree: MBA/ PGDM
