Position Responsibilities Lead user experience design on major Aerospace projects, working with other design leads across the Aerospace businesses and with our network of external design partners. Providing a clear, consistent voice on end-to-end user experience design to project teams and stakeholders. Creating and executing user-centered designs for Honeywell Aerospace products and services that differentiate our brands in the marketplace around the world. Drive development of best practices for user experience design throughout the product development process. Facilitate/Lead user experience design and ideation sessions Collaborating with other Design disciplines, including graphic design, interaction design, and usability specialists in nurturing a world-class organization. Collaborate with design leaders to define roadmaps for next generation user experiences and design strategies. Design, develop and deploy online or workshop based training programs regarding human centered design techniques across global Aerospace team Work closely with the engineering, marketing and R&D teams to ensure that User Experience Design & Human Factors becomes integral in their standard work and for new offering development including products, services and internal processes. Should be able to lead and mentor a team of Design professionals and help deliver world class experiences through Honeywell offerings Should be able to manger the team and deliverables ensuring the highest levels of quality and predictability Help create relevant processes/ Guidelines to streamline and strengthen adoption of UxD into product / service development efforts. Interacts with Business Partners / Product Action Committees (PAC) / Councils etc. and may persuade/ convince internal stakeholders to accept new concepts, practices and approaches Deals effectively with the dynamics of a distributive work environment and creates collaborative work culture in line with the One-Honeywell approach Actively involved in identification and selection of best in class talent Instills a culture of Learning & Coaching, promoting a flexible, adaptable and stay hungry culture. Fosters an inclusive workplace while promoting cross cultural diversity Lead a team through application of broad product /technical knowledge of one job area or basic knowledge of several related job areas, is cognizant of the latest technology trends in the business Participates actively in preliminary design reviews (PDR) and critical design reviews (CDR) where applicable Manages implementation progress for the business area assigned to improve overall H.O.S. performance metrics, removes roadblocks and resolves implementation concerns and problems Promotes organizational change initiatives/ Functional transformation (FT) /Velocity Product Development (VPD) / Honeywell Operating systems (HOS), CMMI and other such initiatives within and across teams at Honeywell as a change agent and practitioner, motivating teams to internalize change. Role models Honeywell Values , Global leadership behaviors and promotes HTS DNA Advocates consistent practices such as Leader Standard Work (LSW), Knowledge Management, Value Stream Mapping, Visual Management, Rapid Problem Solving (RPS), Tiered Accountability Meeting, to maximize operational efficiencies and drive a culture of excellence and relentless improvement Basic CandidateQualifications Bachelors degree in design with focus on user experience design or related degree with at least 12- 14 years of relevant experience. Masters in Design is Preferable. 5 or more years of leadership experience for leading the team in relevant areas like such as Design, Ethnography, Digital Human Modeling, Design of experiments, Human factors, Cognitive Psychology, Human Centered Testing and Evaluation, Design Management, User experience design, User research, Certification Outstanding user experience design portfolio or concepts and commercialized products. Professional Background should include having played leadership roles with a strong portfolio of UX efforts Preferred Candidate Qualifications Strong portfolio of applying user-centered design practices in product development. Demonstrate thought leadership in the use of design skills across multiple disciplines (for example industrial design, graphic design, interaction design, ergonomics, usability etc) Demonstrated leadership experience; successfully scoping, planning and executing projects in accordance with a phases and gates development process. Demonstrated leadership experience leading, developing and managing significant user experience design projects. Experience in understanding and synthesizing user needs using a variety of practices. Experience in design strategy, trends and how they apply to brand and product planning. Experience in evaluating products using design trends, heuristic reviews, competitive benchmarking, formative and summative usability studies. Demonstrable talent in developing industry-leading user interface designs. Experience creating low-fidelity to high-fidelity user interface models and prototypes. Experience directing and managing external design firms and consultancies. International experience working with regional businesses and design teams. Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills. Excellent collaboration and teamwork attitude. Excellent drawing and sketching skills Fluent with interaction design analysis and prototyping tools, e.g., Visio, Balsamiq, Director, Sketch Experience with design trends, planning and specification
Degree: ME/ M.Tech./ MS (Engg/ Sciences)

Additional Degree: BE/ B.Tech (Engineering)
