Employee RelationsServe as primary HR point of initial contact on employee relations issues; escalate to VP Global HR as neededCoach managers to motivate, appraise, performance manage, and discipline employees; schedule management conferences with employees; conduct disciplinary investigations; and counsel employees and supervisorsCoach both employees and mid and front line management through complex, difficult, and emotional issuesSupport the companys managers with risk management and consistent application of the Company s policies and applicable labour lawsProvide high levels of service to the groups supported; understand colleagues opinions and anticipate their needs and concernsOrganizational DevelopmentWork with global HR team and cross-functionally to create and maintain an effective on boarding program that reinforces culture and maximizes productivity and retentionAssess and contribute to human resources needs in areas such as training, organizational design, workforce planning, talent acquisition, career pathing, succession planning, and employee leadership development; develop appropriate solutionsPartner with SGU to support training initiatives; deliver training when appropriate. HR Process and ComplianceEnsure legal compliance in SGWI practices in assigned regions by monitoring and implementing applicable human resource legal requirements, maintaining compliant records, and anticipating risk areasServe as the local expert on regional labour law and maintain up-to-date knowledge of HR related compliance topicsEnsure all documentation and practices are in line with current labor lawReview and benchmark the internal and external environment to improve the HR policies and initiatives to enhance overall business performance.Reporting and MetricsReview and analyze business metrics including data on retention and employee experience in order to recommend systemic improvementsProvide compensation and benefits support including benchmarking and initial review of salary actions, promotions, and other job changesProvide other HR analytics as requiredCulture ChampionWork with divisional groups to assess, create, and implement innovative solutions for maintaining employee engagementContribute to the business strategy and culture by helping identify, prioritize, and build organizational capabilities, behaviors, structures, and processesFacilitate the continuing evolution of corporate culture for assigned business units in alignment with SGWI corporate values; act as SGWI ambassadorOther ResponsibilitiesAct as a trusted partner to management and a productive and collaborative member of a global HR teamMaintain close contact with the HR team to work in synchronization with the other business unitsMentor junior HR team membersLead and/or contribute to variety of projects both at corporate and business unit levels, as assignedQualifications5-7 years progressively responsible work experience in a generalist HR Generalist/Business Partner role including experience with employee relations, labour compliance, performance management, and talent acquisitionDegree in related discipline preferredStrong knowledge of India labour laws; aptitude to quickly learn and apply laws and practices of other countriesStrong customer service orientation and a great attitudeDemonstrated ability in the following areas Strong verbal and written communication skills; including excellent counseling skills; the ability to relate to, influence, and coach employees at all levels in the organization; and to build strong relationships vertically and horizontallyStrong analytical skills, and experience using and presenting data to make decisionsExperience with complex HRIS systems desired.Ability to pull reporting and metricsAbility to work well across different functions, geographies and culturesAble to work both on a team and independently to deliver results o Experience managing cross-functional projects and initiativesAbility to thrive in a fast paced environment with changing priorities and to navigate employees of all levels through a variety of organizational changesStrong Microsoft Office skillsAbility to maintain strict confidentiality and model the highest degree of moral and ethical behaviorAbility for occasional international travel
