Principal Duties & ResponsibilitiesFacilitation of critical organizational initiatives as well as implementing process improvements within Human Resources and across the business. Counsel business partners on effective ways of resolving employee relations issues. This ranges from corrective action counseling to policy interpretation, acting as the point of contact for any assigned employees. Counsel and assist business partners with ongoing case management of lost time due to Short-Term Disability, Long Term Disability, FMLA and Workers Compensation injuries to ensure the healthy and timely return of employees to work at minimum cost to the Company. Works with Human Resource partners to implement Human Resources policies, procedures and programs, which support the overall business strategy. Train and educate business partners on these policies, programs, and procedures.Identify ways to streamline resources to provide efficient structure to the organization while remaining consistent with the career banding process. Serve as a consultant and coach to business leaders on all human resources related activities to include organizational development and design, performance management, change/transition management, compensation philosophy and execution, human resource planning, learning, and development priorities.Responsible to ensure compliance with Federal and State legislation related to all human resource matters. Assists management in the annual review, preparation and administration of the wage and salary program.Presents to all levels within their assigned group related to human resource matters and updates. This includes, but is not limited to Business Conduct Guidelines, Performance Excellence, Career Banding, Open Enrollment, and Affirmative Action Planning. Fosters effective relationships with external vendors to administer effective employee programs.Advise and assist business partners with ongoing recruitment and selection strategies. This includes efforts to support the Company s Affirmative Action program.Assist in the creation and support of programs that foster a safe working environment for employees. Assist in the implementation and administration of reward and recognition programs that support the achievement of business and personal objectives.Preferred Education & Experience Typically, a degree in Human Resources or a related field, or equivalent work experience. Working knowledge of Human Resource disciplines, including staffing, employee development, compensation, benefits, employee relations, management practices, health, safety and security.Demonstrated experience in providing proactive solutions to human resource issues. Ability to analyze and diagnose problems, develops alternative solutions, and recommend and implement an effective course of action.Exercise good judgment in dealing with highly sensitive and confidential information. Ability to influence and build relationships both within and outside the organization.Communicate effectively in one-on-one and small group settings, and foster an open, honest and trusting environment. Possesses the ability to facilitate and encourage participation from others, to convey essential information clearly and concisely, both in writing and verbally, and to actively listen while gathering information. Proficiency in systems, Excel, and Word, Lotus Notes, specifically the Microsoft Office software and mainframe applications.Effective verbal, written, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Ability to travel to various locations.
