RESPONSIBILITESMaintain uptime and availability of our application, infrastructure and services.Work as first point of contact for all issues pertaining to IT application, infrastructure and services.Isolate issues and coordinate corrective action with appropriate team members, escalate issues with respective teams as needed.Efficiently handle end-to-end Incident management, communication and reporting around it by following defined Standard Operating Procedure.Identifying issues quickly and solve them while making sure minimum downtime and service interruption.Observe and report alert patterns and take proactive action to avoid them.Identify the scope of automating manual work and automate it.Assist DevOps and Infrastructure Engineering team in break fix and RCA.Learn and assist in developing run books and process.Demonstrate high degree of ownership and customer centric behavior.Help in recruitment process when required.Work in shift based work schedule (16x7)REQUIREMENTSReady to work in 16x7 rotating shift environment [Must]Bachelor's/Masters degree/diploma in Computer Science or related fields.Linux/UNIX system administration skills - Preferable RedHat or CentOs [Must]Excellent communication skills - verbal and written [Must]Excellent problem analysis and solving skillsQuick learner with multitasking skillsSystem & Network and application level troubleshooting skillsKnowledge of monitoring tools like Nagios, Ganglia, Cacti etc. [Preferred]Exposure to scripting languages like Bash, Perl, php, Python [Preferred]Exposure to Hadoop [Preferred]
Additional Degree: BE/ B.Tech (Engineering)
