A deep commitment to the mission of a better, safer future for the worlds poorest people through land ownership and secure land rights.Strong leadership and team building skills with the ability to set and communicate vision and strategy.Ability to work collaboratively with a range of people at all levels, including those from host country governmental and non-governmental organizations, and other counterparts, clients, donors, and grantors.Ability to lead and work as a member of teams, including consensus building, communications, and leadership skills.Ability to demonstrate cross-cultural sensitivity, tact, and poise.A strong commitment to empowering women by supporting gender inclusive and gender responsive strategies and practices.Knowledge of public policy, legal, economic, sociological, political, institutional, geographic, and/or anthropological concepts and information to an extent sufficient to permit the ICD to manage Landesa projects.Ability to manage budget processes and P&L, expense reporting and accounting, labor reporting and accounting, correspondence, and other administrative items in accordance with Landesa standards and expectations; Strong working knowledge of budgets and financials.Exceptional written and oral communications skills to communicate clearly and persuasively in English. Command of Hindi and other Indian languages a plus.Live out and support Landesa s core values of mission first (humility), collaboration, constructive, and accountable for results or failure to achieve results.Excellent organization, delegation, performance management, administration, analytical, negotiation, and time management skills. Self-motivated with the ability to set standards and meet goals. Exacting attention to detail, flexibility and the ability to work simultaneously on multiple projects. Excellent and advanced critical conceptual or decision-making skills.Proficiency using Microsoft Suite of products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and other software.Knowledge of internet-based research, international affairs, rural development, and poverty issues a plus.Education and ExperienceAdvanced Degree in Law, Economics, Social Science, or a closely related field.15 years of relevant senior level international experience required, including 8 years experience managing people and complex projects in developing countries; experience living or working in a developing country; and a passion for international public interest work, preferably in the area of land tenure, agriculture, rural development, gender issues, social science research, and/or international humanitarian projectsMust be fluent in English; knowledge of Hindi desired.
