Describe the broad function and scope of the position Responsible to work with the business functions and Information Business Analysts to build the requirements for structured reports and dashboards and manage the needed development with external partners. Determine with business partners to use a do-learn-do approach to refine the requirements first via the Reporting Factory or develop a commercialized reporting/ dashboard solution right away or at a later time via the Global Project Services team.Determines effort required and develops plans for build, test and implement of reporting and dashboard solutions and executes those plans together with our external partner.This role requires technical and analytical skills with strong report writing ( Using tools like BO Suite, Lumira etc..) , Excellent communication skills and will work with departments/Market CoEs throughout the company to implement reporting solutions to support process improvements.The Business Reporting Analyst will work closely with the Financial or ISC departments to drive the design, development, and maintenance of ongoing metrics, reports, analyses, dashboards, etc. to drive key business decisions.This role will partner with key stakeholders across the organization to identify reporting and data needs, analyze requirements, and provide reporting and analytical proposals to support the organizations ongoing needs. Will need to leverage our existing data repositories as well as have significant input into the structure of new repositories to ensure that data is ready to be turned into valuable information.Describe the primary responsibilities of the position in order of importance and identify % of time spent on that responsibility Gather business requirements to build new reports and transition requirements to the report developerCreate functional reporting specifications in a standard template which can be provided to the reporting developers of the Reporting Factory or Global Project ServicesProvide support services on the reporting applications during the testing and transition to support phase and perform data validation to ensure reports are pulling all correct data accurately and achieving customer needs.Lead functional and UAT testing with the reporting end usersLead the release management of new reports / change requests in conjunction with the reporting developerCreate new functional reports and maintain the library of existing reportsWork with the capability lead to optimize the reporting and dashboard processes and ensure consistent adoption across the categories Maintain reporting tools and identify industry best practicesPlan and communicate status of development process to functional business contactsEnsure application of standards, methods and approaches for agile and iterative development processesWork collaboratively with external partners for Reporting Factory and Global Project Services to ensure cost effective and timely delivery of requested developmentsParticipates in teams to define design and development standards and conduct peer reviews of solution designs.Identify opportunities to drive efficiencies in reporting processes, including the automation of existing manual data sets. This includes everything from developing requirements to testing new reports.Manages and leads development and project activities performed by our external partners for Reporting Factory Internal and external contacts Critical relationships required with the following internal & external individuals/organizationsInternalPeers within the Global IS BI, Advanced Analytics and Information Business AnalyticsPeers within IS EAS team for release managementBusiness users from various functions who utilize reporting and dashboard solutionsBPE and Business users to utilize global definition of KPIs and ensure adherenceExternalHarmony Service Provider project manager and team membersMBS BPO user who utilize reporting and dashboard solutionsAll other IS Strategic Partners as required QualificationsEXPERIENCE This section should outline the areas of functional/technical expertise and the years of experience in these areas required by the job.FUNCTIONAL/TECHNICAL EXPERTISE General Work Experience in one or two business area like ICS, Procurement, Sales and Marketing, Finance and HR - 8-10 YrsExtensive computer knowledge and analytical skills with background in collecting business requirement and translating them into functional specification - 6-10 Yrs Technical work experience with Reporting and Visualization solutions and database software like SAP BOBJ, SAP BW, Lumira or Tableau - 6-10 YrsWork Experience with software development and maintenance processes in a waterfall and agile project methodology - 6-10 YrsWork Experience managing teams of internal and external team members 3-5 Yrs COMPETENCIES/ABILITIES These are key observable/measurable skills, knowledge and behaviors required that contribute to successful performance in the position.
