Key Accountabilities and Skills required- Handling System generated Events, user incidents and troubleshooting user issues- Implementing Change Requests and Service Requests- Handling Major Incidents as per the established process- Escalating issues to respective Second Line teams and Management as required- Working with other IT teams to resolve technical issues in a timely manner- Enforcing change control standards and procedures- Participation in project work as agreed with manager- Participation in rota (shift work) (24 x 7)- Good knowledge of Windows and UNIX/Linux Operating Systems- Strong troubleshooting skills with demonstrated ability to learn new technologies- Good knowledge of ITIL Concepts (ITIL Foundation certification preferred)- Confident and able to communicate effectively different levels of technical understanding- Coordinate and post responses, provide related reporting and maintain procedure documents- Identify, document and flag the incidents where investigation cannot be progressed further due to missing or insufficient information- Promote the use of Technical Standards, Procedures and Best Practice and maximize the use of toolsets and automation.- Improve the access monitoring activities by enabling the automated methods- Act as technical first point of contact internally and externally for technical queries and escalate as appropriate.- Knowledge Management Sharing of knowledge with the peers for self and team development- Service Improvements The associate will be required to be part of the service improvement initiatives and would be expected to work on the automation and process documentation/implementation. Stakeholder management and leadership.- Take responsibility and actively contribute to driving service to offer the best level of available service to our customer base.- Act as technical first point of contact internally and externally for technical queries and escalate as appropriate.- Represent the team at technical and management meetings as required.- Develops an understanding of the relationship of own specialisation or area of responsibility to the services of the Bank as a whole and takes customer requirements fully into account when making proposals and/or carrying out work.Decision making and problem solving.- This section should describe the extent and level to which the job requires evaluative judgement and analytical skills. Your Skills and Qualifications will include- Hold a relevant third level degree or equivalent (a Bachelor Degree with a Science or Engineering).- Experience in Infrastructure Support.- Mandatory to work in rotating shift including night shift (9 hour shift 5 days a week including Saturday/Sunday).- Flexible approach to working hours and be adaptable to change.- Knowledge of operating systems such as Windows, UNIX, Databases Oracle, MS SQL, Sybase & DB2, Middleware (minimum one technology)- Professional Certifications preferred (ServiceNow, Autosys, Netcool etc.)- Should have worked extensively on more than one of the above tools and must have comprehensive knowledge around ServiceNow and Autosys tools.- Ability to work in a pressurised banking environment and be able to deliver against tight time scales. Ability to work under pressure and continue to support users and applications- Basic understanding of Banking/Finance domain- Process oriented and able to follow through on all issues raised by clients in a timely manner- Actively be involved with the service improvements and meeting the agreed SLAs- Should understand the risk in system and escalate immediately to team lead.- Good working knowledge of the access monitoring toolsFunctional Skills/Competencies- Understanding of ITIL Foundation.- Excellent written and oral communication skills required to communicate with global customers.- Oral Expression Communicating effectively by word of mouth.- Written Expression- Communicating effectively in writing. Including technical documentation, detailing procedures for the benefit of the whole team.- Good analytical and logical skills Acquiring understanding of a problem or situation by breaking it down systematically into its component parts and identifying the relationships between these parts.- Sound knowledge of ITIL best practices- Good Interpersonal skills.
