General DescriptionInformation Technology (IT) Assistants - work within Information Solutions (IS) teams and provide general IT client support and training to staff at all levels for Dubai Office. The general description for this position is as followsAbility to provide basic assistance.Basic ability to determine and evaluate possible solutions to operating errors.Has basic understanding of the processes involved with installing and maintaining hardware and software.Familiarity with industry standards, controls and best practices on IT services management and information security.ResponsibilitiesMaintains desktop and laptop computers, printers, software applications, copiers, telephone systems and other informationoffice technology within a work area to ensure that all IT-dependent activities continue to function without disruption.Configures desktop and laptop computers with applications for staff use in office or for official travel.Provides clients with computer and network support in response to specific requests related to various systems software and hardware, printing problems, computer viruses, network connection and usage and other IT-related matters.Troubleshoots non-complex hardware andor software problems. Responds to clients' requests for help, diagnoses problems, and identifies the appropriate resource to solve the problem if unable to resolve it himherself.Provides support for hardware andor software use.Manages equipment inventory which includes keeping complete and accurate inventory records, ensuring proper charges for maintenance, local area network charges, IT support, etc.Ensures that organization systems information and information systems are protected in a manner consistent with organization systems information security policy, procedures and standards.Disseminates information about changes in the systems and technology standards and policies.Identifies, initiates, supports and documents procedures and guidelines that have been used repeatedly to improve work processes and methods relating to client services delivery and effective team functioning.Provide support for office setup, move or expansion of IT infrastructure and communication linksEnsure service level agreements are maintained with local maintenance providers. Assist visiting mission staff in accessing the network and email.Setup projectors and other audio visual equipment for presentations and meetings.Any other job assigned by regional specialist or local IT coordinator on need basis. Minimum EducationExperience Minimum Education BCS or BSC in (Training or in computer systems and software)Minimum Years of Relevant Experience 23 Years in Information Management,
