Position OverviewJr Technical Support Engineer (IND)As a Technical Support Engineer, you will provide world-class support to customers of Meru Networks products.This position requires someone who enjoys interacting with customers, channel partners and sales engineers to help find solutions to tough technical issues in the wireless industryEssential Job Responsibilities Answer customer inquiries through phone, email, support tickets and chats. Solves product and network problems of high complexity. Provides consultation to independently solve complex product and network problems. Effectively utilizes complex lab setups to duplicate and solve problems. Provides systems/product training and intellectual property material. Submits complete and correct Bug reports in area of expertise. Author Knowledge Base articles to help share the expertise. Perform Daily ticket sweeps in order to ensure all tickets are updated and addressed accordingly. Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis requires further evaluation of identifiable factors and correlation of data. Receives limited supervision on routine work and general instruction on new assignments. Provides guidance and mentoring to junior engineers. Translates team goals into own work assignment.Core Knowledge, Skills, and Expertise Ability to analyze, configure and troubleshoot medium to large networks. Is a certified technical expert in at least one area with excellent broad knowledge of Networking fundamentals. Understanding of TCP/IP & network troubleshooting tools like ethereal/wireshark Effective planning, prioritization and organizing skills. Drive for continuous learning, results orientation and teamwork. In depth understanding of troubleshooting and case management tools. Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal and presentation skills. Ability to function effectively in crisis situations. Encourages and accepts feedback. Demonstrates excellent technical case notes standardsEducation and Experience Graduate in a technical field or equivalent 2 -6 years related experience. Preferred CCNA/CWNA/CWSP level expertise
Degree: M.Com. (Commerce) | M.Pharm. (Pharmacy) | M.Sc. (Science) | MA (Arts) | MBA/ PGDM | MCA/ PGDCA

Additional Degree: BE/ B.Tech (Engineering)
