Our client, an international leader in consumer goods industry is seeking to recruit a Junior Financial Controller. You will be directly reporting to the Finance ControllerJob SummaryReporting to the entity Finance Controller, the Junior Finance Controller would have a solid experience in accounting, most importantly in General ledger. He should be able to handle accounts payable, cash, account receivables for the entity but also to assist the Finance Manager to produce the financial reporting. The scope includes MIDDLE EAST and SOUTH ASIA distribution entity as well as the MEA HQ accounting and finance. The candidate needs to show ability to keep up with the different deadlines with discipline and methodology in order to produce accurate reporting. HeShe should be a team player and understand the challenges of working in a small team. Forecasting, planning and budget management abilities are required.Main Responsibilities TasksCash managementAPAR roles will be shared with the company's M.E. accountant to bring more compliance when it comes to SOD Responsible for preparation of monthly general ledger closing, account analysis and reconciliation Follow up of budget and spending per department, communicate to each head of department the update on their budgetEstablishing the annual budgets in conjunction with the entity Finance Controller and other departmentsControl of invoicing vs purchase ordersFixed Assets follow upInterco transactionsInventory transactions reconciliation and control related processes Preparation of working capital analysis, PandL and balance sheetEnsuring timely reporting of all financial statements in accordance with IFRS Provide all departments with the necessary financial informationParticipate in the annual audit preparation with the financial controller and accountantProviding ad-hoc analysis to support the management teamCost control S2M, JDE, HFMPandL load and analysis Active contribution to continuous financial reporting process improvements


Candidate Profile Qualifications Technical Skills3-5 year's relevant experience in accounting with a solid base in general ledger.BCOMM Degree Accounting Diploma (2-3 years)Solid experience in JDE and HFM would be a plusVery good knowledge in Excel, MS Office and MS Windows is a must. Strong at process improvement with an analytical mindEffective in communication and team playerSpeaks fluent English and proficient in French is desirableSolid Experience in general ledger accounting in a FMCG company with international exposureincluding multi-currency experienceAccounting and Reporting knowledge Understanding of Financial SystemsIntegrity, Assertive, Approachable, Adaptability Committed and involved to transformationcultural change Self-motivated, detail-minded, well organized, responsible and willingness to learnMust be able to work independently and towards short deadlinesMust be able to liaise and communicate at all levels. Professional Experience Strong at process improvement with an analytical mindProject management experience is appreciated Knowledge of IFRS rules and also experience on VAT implementation is advantageous.Additional InformationThe candidate is expected to have a good understanding of all aspects of the Finance function, accounting acumen -and IT sensitivityThe candidate will be joining a team of 3 persons.
