6-10 plus years of UNIX system administration experience withemphasis on Red Hat and Solaris Advanced experience with multiple UNIX-based operating systemsfrom Hewlett Packard, IBM, Novell, Red Hat, Oracle, Sun Microsystems. Advanced experience with multiple hardware platforms. Knowledge of networking, storage, security, virtualization,clustering and high availability concepts. Advanced knowledge of system administrative practices in largescale data center environments. In-depth knowledge of HP/Dell and Oracle Servers and Storage. RAID Concepts In depth experience managing Physical volumes, Logical volumesand Filesystems. Experience with one ormore Volume Management software packages (LVM, VxVM, ZFS, etc.) Experience managing SAN disk from the server side Account and security management Advanced networking concepts Solid troubleshooting skills Expertise in Clustering Technologies such as Veritas ClusterService. Experience in Redhat clusteringis a bonus.UNIX Services supports the day-to-day operations of Infocrossingcustomer s UNIX servers. This includesboth proactive and reactive management. The qualified candidate will berequired to perform on-call work as well as project related work that wouldrequire off hours support and possibly travel based on the customer s needs.Responsibilities Include (but not limited to) Provide systems administration for customer UNIX servers Implement and support high availability configuration of UNIXsystems Analyze system performance Develop (shell and Perl scripting)system tools and utilities to simplify and support IT and business operations Plan, implement and manage systems initiatives with IT and customer teams Establish & maintain technical standards & server security policies Patch Solaris/HP-UX/Linux servers on scheduled basis Candidate must be ableto communicate technical issues in terms that many audiences can understand(communications to customer) Candidate will be required to provide updatesand status to customers Participate in the on-call rotation.Roles & Responsibilities"As a Lead Administrator, you should be able to act as a Single point of contact for the technical tower in front of the customer management. Ensure proper communication and quick resolution as a crisis manager. Responsible for Vendor Management and people management. Drives day to day operations and work plan allocation/management. Conduct periodic reviews with teams. Weekly and monthly status reports to higher management. Participate in business meetings with various stake holders. Take corrective actions based on the customer satisfaction surveys. Drive service improvement programs. Ensure adherence to quality / security standards defined for the engagement Perform Trend analysis, identify top few incidents and work with respective teams/individual to minimize the incidents. Effort estimation/reviews on need basis for new projects."
Degree: MCA/ PGDCA | ME/ M.Tech./ MS (Engg/ Sciences)

Additional Degree: BE/ B.Tech (Engineering) | BCA (Computer Application)
