Essential ResponsibilitiesIn this role, you will report to Sub-Section Manager ADT Clearances, Dynamics, Stress & Life Tools at GEABEC, JFWTC, Bangalore. In addition, you will interface with Product Aligned and Advanced Technology organizations based on business need.Design, develop & validate methods and tools in the area of gas turbine clearances.Strong interaction with the project team and other team-members and counterparts from GE Aviation/Power to understand the project requirements and deliver results on time with superior quality maintaining seamless communication among the team.Work collaboratively with Tech Lead and Team Manager for risk resolution, project strategy and vision.Collaborate and work with onsite/offsite vendor groups.Actively contribute in developing state-of-the-art tools and methods in gas turbine clearances and upstream clearance rollup processes.Strong inclination towards continuous learning on the job and working collaboratively with functional team and leverage any existing Best Practices prevalent among user.Ensure on-time completion of project deliverables and adhere to defined project management, quality management processes.Provide timely communications on significant issues or developments.Participate on teams assigned to address organizational initiatives and generic issues.Assure proper documentation of technical data generated for the assigned projects and/or tasks consistent with engineering policies and procedures.Qualifications/RequirementsGraduate/Postgraduate in Mechanical/Aerospace/Production Engineering or equivalent4-5 years of relevant experience on Mechanical design and Analysis in relevant domain using FE tools like ANSYS Classic/Workbench, HyperMeshAbility to develop, modify and utilize custom computer codes in various languages such as ANSYS APDL, ANSYS ACT, Fortran, C/C++,Java, VBA, TCL/TK etc.,In-depth understanding of mechanical engineering fundamentals.Excellent communication and presentation skills. Excellent analytical skills and problem solving ability.Inclination to work on a wide variety of projects of interest to GE Aviation/Power.Ability to work independently, with minimal oversight.Unfailing dedication to deadlines and commitmentsPassion for continuous learning.Desired CharacteristicsExperience in working with aircraft engine and gas turbine clearances will be added advantage.3 to 4 years of experience in aerospace/energy industry with sound knowledge of Mechanical/Structural Analysis.Exposure to project management techniquesSix Sigma GB certificationFamiliar with Software Design Life Cycle (SDLC) conceptsExposure to enterprise level application development
Degree: MCA/ PGDCA

Additional Degree: BE/ B.Tech (Engineering)
