Leading planning cycles including developing estimates, operating plans/forecasts/reviews, Growth Playbook (3-year Plan), SII (1-year Plan); OP (operating plan/budget) and / or corporate reportingKey responsibilities would include Manage & Lead a team of about 14 inventory COE resources to execute inventory reporting, inventory account recs, WIP job closure and other processes consistent with policies and SOP s; please note that the functional interview(s) will focus on this area. Monitor open items in inventory account recs and ensure timely resolution. Collaborate with site finance and controllership to resolve defects in a timely manner. Identify root causes for SL GL disconnects, propose process improvement opportunities and then work collaboratively to implement improvements. Connect, Partner & Collaborate with controllership, site finance, modality, and IT teams to resolve and fix open items and to ensure inventory accounts are used correctly to reduce manual intervention. Ability to successfully transition processes & improvement initiatives from the functional & projects team to the inventory COE Support acquisitions and new inventory org/site integrations to Oracle. Provide technical guidance & training to GEHC manufacturing sites and business modalities to ensure understanding of inventory processes. Support inventory valuation processes such as FIFO, LIFO, OBSO and ICP Develop, enhance and publish periodic inventory COE metrics that will drive COE efficiency & effectiveness Manage SOP s and SOX documents Support CAS and Statutory audits.Work with Finance Managers and business leaders to understand & drive opportunities for Growth and managing cost. Lead and provide analytics on strategic initiativesIdentifying risks & opportunities during each quarter and leading team in mitigating risks and capitalizing on opportunitiesDriving standardization & process improvement across operating businesses in all aspects of planning and reporting, including best practice sharingQualifications/Requirements Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration and minimum of six years of financial work experience Chartered accountant or Cost Accountant or equivalent professional designation. Demonstrate strong managerial experience in leading & coaching teams of ten or more members Expert in inventory accounting, account reconciliations, standard costing, FIFO & OBSO. Proven track record of successfully leading and implementing process improvement initiativesDesired CharacteristicsDemonstrated ability to lead in a team environmentSolid PC skills experience with financial systems/applications (i.e. Oracle, SAP, COGNOS, Business Objects, etc.), strong Excel skills in data compilation and aggregation (i.e. pivot tables, Vlookup and macros)Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to communicate complex business issues in a clear/concise mannerStrong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence others and drive change while working across all levels, functions, and regionsStrong critical thinking skills and ability to add value to operating teamsKey desired characteristics would include below Understanding of the inventory accounting modules of Oracle will be preferred. Strong analytic skills able to clearly link financial results to operational performance drivers, generate alternatives and drive positive change Clear thinking / problem solving successfully led cross-functional projects/process improvement within operations/finance function involving process improvement; able to quickly grasp new ideas Excellent communication skills experience working across multiple levels, functions and regions; able to clearly communicate financial information in a easy to understand manner; able to deliver message effectively verbally and in writing Excellent PC skills experience with financial systems/applications (i.e. Oracle, Microsoft Excel, Business Objects, Hyperion etc.), strong Excel skills in data compilation and aggregation (i.e. pivot tables, VLookup, macros, ability to efficiently manage large data sets) SQL expertise will be an added plus Experience working in global business environment across time zones with sound understanding of global process and transactional flows Integrity Accepting and adhering to high moral, ethical, and personal values in decisions, communications, actions, and when dealing with others Good understanding of financial compliance Corporate Governance Standards, Indian/International Accounting Standards, GAAP & SOX
