Part of Testing CoE, Lead professional will be responsible for accelerating the digital thread adoption across GE. The successful candidate will be liaison to application teams representing testing and automation team within the QA organization. In this role, candidate will work closely with internal business/software application/QA teams and will be responsible for planning, designing, coordinating, documenting testing/automation solutions delivering quality initiatives for complex solutions.Essential Responsibilities Serves as a lead subject matter/SME expert on key programs around PLM and MES implementations. Understands business requirements and contribute towards plan, design and implement world class software testing solutions. Lead testing projects for key software programs by partnering with project teams to translate technical requirements into test solutions. Drive, review and apply test engineering concepts and quality into project team roadmaps and schedules. Create & review test requirements, test plans, and test specifications in concert with business and testing lead. Provide analysis and debug of complex application and test issues. Create & maintain various quality matrixes essential to understand the project progress. Access and advice on improving the overall product/deliverable quality. Monitors the quality matrix regularly and provide corrective actions necessary for improving quality requirements. Provide system support for respective business unit. Perform duties essential to reporting and documenting of testing and associated activities/problems. Identify and implement best practices across the projects. Champion quality methodologies and rigor throughout all Global Operations team initiatives; identify opportunities and complete projects to improve internal processesQualifications/Requirements Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Mechanical or related technical discipline Experience of 7-10 years in IT with broad exposure to specific information technologies domains of PLM and MES Working knowledge/hands on experience on PLM platform like Team Center/ Windchill / Enovia or any other PLM solution will be advantage. Experience/exposure to GEIP products such as GEIP Proficy Products such as Proficy CIMPLICITY, PfmD, Work flow, Historian or similar products Knowledge of SDLC including waterfall and agile development practices, Test Methodologies, Defect life cycle, Testing (functional, Integration, System, Regression) Understanding of Manufacturing process, process plans, plant layouts and day-to-day working in plants Experience in automated test development using selenium / UFT Experience working in a global environment team members working remotely located in various time zones Self-motivated with excellent verbal and written communication and good presentation skills Self-starter with the attitude to convert business problems into opportunities to generate business Ability to influence and gain commitment at all organizational levels Strong critical thinking, attention to detail and decision-making ability Ability to operate independently across technical and functional teams effectively GB Certification (GE employees only) - Experience using Six Sigma tools and techniquesDesired Characteristics Have an understanding of various stages in the end to end lifecycle for an equipment/product (concept/design to manufacturing to service). Experience working with offshore development teams. Have an exposure to automation framework and can contribute with valuable suggestions for improvements; Exposure/Understanding to the data transformation/flow and usage in the upstream/downstream system in the integrated world of PLM, MES, ERP Understanding of Industrial IT is a plus. Understanding of Performance testing concepts and related tools. Ability to think out of the box, provide innovative solutions. Voices opinions and presents clear rationale. Uses data or factual evidence to influence. Demonstrated ability to multi-task and manage multiple priorities Has the ability to take ownership of small tasks and deliver without supervision while using their discretion to seek help when necessary Has the ability to break down problems and estimate time for various QA activities. Demonstrates awareness about competitors and industry around evolving practices and process
