The Lead Service Integrator provides the definition of service related functions and features for products and the cross-functional leadership to develop the product service strategy and integrate the same into operational practice. This role requires interaction with Product Management,Engineering,Sourcing,Mfg,Quality,Service and other GEHC design functions to deliver the on-going product performance, life-cycle cost (measurement and prediction) and clinical quality expected by global customersEssential ResponsibilitiesSpecific responsibilities include (but are not limited to) Define product service strategy including installation, functional check out, monitoring, maintenance, diagnostics methodologies, troubleshooting, repair methods, repair parts and service tools. Ensure design requirements incorporate the defined service strategy/serviceability, participating in design and program reviews to optimize implementation. Verify and validate the product design, service documentation and service processes, using appropriate internal and external expertise, to ensure serviceability goals are met. Lead the release and distribution of repair parts, tools, documentation and processes to enable and support regional sales and service.Quality Specific Goals1. Aware of and comply with the GEHC Quality Manual, Quality Management System, Quality Management Policy, Quality Goals, and applicable laws and regulations as they apply to this job type/position2. Complete all planned Quality & Compliance training within the defined deadlines3. Identify and report any quality or compliance concerns and take immediate corrective action as required4. Support compliance/closure of Regulatory and Quality requirements before completing Design Outputs/Program Deliverables5. Participate in continuous improvement activities by identifying and appropriately escalating process and product quality gaps, providing solutions when possibleQualifications/RequirementsQualifications1. BS Degree in Mechanical /Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Computer Engineering or equivalent experience2. 4 years relevant product service engineering experience or 6 years combined new product design and service engineering experience 3. Demonstrated ability to work as part of a cross-functional and global project team4. Strong, demonstrated oral and written communication skills5. Demonstrated project planning ability6. Demonstrated experience bringing original design from concept to product release.Desired Characteristics1. MS Degree in Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering or equivalent experience2. Field service experience3. Medical device design and support experience4. Expertise with PC based, single board computer and embedded device design and support5. Working knowledge of ISO, FDA and other applicable medical device regulatory standards6. Familiarity with GEHC products7. Demonstrated success leading global technical project teams
