Job DescriptionThe Management Associate shall be a part of an IIHS Project Team working on land records management and associated e-governance support initiatives. The Management Associate will assist the Project Team in delivering timely and quality results in the area of land law, policy and administration, broadly in the areas of land ownership, use, transfer, registration, titling, informality, varied tenure systems and other related legal-policy issues. This will involve assisting the Team Leader and the Project Team in planning and implementing project activities at the national, state and site locations. In addition, the Management Associate shall be involved in the review and improvements of land administration, governance and management systems.Activities and TasksThe Associate shallBe a part of the team working on land management initiatives and carry out project management and facilitation tasks to help deliver analyses and results;Assist the team in setting up systems for and carrying out collection and analyses of data, maps, and other material from the respective public and private sources;Set up and run field operations as needed including setting up and maintaining site offices, and managing all logistics;Assist the Team Leader in planning, budgeting, implementing and monitoring activities and results, deployment of financial and human resources (including consultants and advisors), and carrying out project reviews;Assist the Team Leader in effective management of resources including budgeting, allocating and tracking revenues and expenditure, and ensuring cost-effectiveness;Organize formal and informal stakeholder consultations, workshops, meetings and other events for the project;Provide inputs to reviewing and improving the administration of land related systems and procedures in the Study locations and states, including review of staffing, document management, decision-making systems, organizational work-flow processes, coordination and external/citizen interface systems;Help build relationships with government officials, market agents and other relevant stakeholders in Study states and locations on the above aspects;Carry out systematic maintenance and management of project documentation and materials;Help produce and provide periodic reports to partners, stakeholders and clients as needed by the project;Assist the Team Leader in general for delivering high-quality value-for-money outputs; managing clients; ensuring cost-effectiveness of assignments; and assisting in reviewing and evaluating project performance;Translate the experiences from practice into knowledge to contribute to research and teaching, participate in other activities of IIHS, including those related to research and teaching.This offer is on an exclusive basis, which implies that other professional assignments (whether compensated or not) that bear a potential conflict of interest with IIHS cannot be undertaken.
