Business Development Manager Job Purpose Builds market position by locating, developing, defining, negotiating, and closing business relationships.Thorough knowledge of various chemicals / additives / ingredients / process of commercial cleaning and hygiene chemicals for F&B and I&I.To plan, develop and implement launch strategies for introducing new products into the market exemplified by identifying and providing promotional support by organizing customer seminars, exhibitions, sales aids, technical literature, and scheduling of technical services activitiesConduct market survey to find out current players in the field, identify market segments, estimate market . Prepare business plan using data thus obtained and from knowledge and past experience.Develop negotiating strategies and positions by studying integration of new ventures with company strategies and operations; examining risks and potentials; estimating partners' needs and goals.Close new business deals by coordinating requirements; developing and negotiating contracts; integrating contract requirements with business operations.Enhance organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.Locate or propose potential business deals by contacting potential partners; discovering and exploring opportunitiesIdentification of trendsetter ideas by researching industry and related events, publications, and announcements; tracking individual contributors and their accomplishmentsScreening potential business deals by analyzing market strategies, deal requirements, potential, and financials; evaluating options; resolving internal prioritiesShould be able to identify the trouble shooting areas of customers and satisfy customer queries and complaintsAbility to submit technical proposals / recommendations based on customer plant surveyHelp manage and improve customer relations as well as identify barriers to gaining businessInteraction with relevant internal customers (Sales / Mkt. team, R&D, Production departments) to ensure a good co-ordination with clients / support and develop new products / resolve any issuesShould help identify opportunities for application of new products by enabling technology transfersWork to develop accurate costing and market pricing based on the guidelines in placeTravel to visit / advice and follow up with customersRelevant technical / business management degree (Masters / B tech. / others) plus a minimum of 4-5 years in commercial cleaning and hygiene chemicals for F&B, pharmaEntrepreneurial mindset with good analytical skillsGood scientific aptitude with the ability to read drawings and bills of materialThorough business planning and technical diagnostic background.Proficiency in the use of computersExcellent interpersonal skills with ability to develop and maintain good customer relations skillsStrong communication - both verbal and written
Degree: MBA/ PGDM
