The Manager, Development - India provides a point of leverage in development deal administration/management to assist the efficiency and productivity of the Deal Team (i.e. Directors, VPs and SVPs) in the pursuit of the strategic objective of the company to expand our global footprint in the development of hotels that carry our brands.Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards Development Strategy & Reporting- The Manager must work effectively with colleagues, industry contacts and competitors to assist in drafting Hilton s development strategy for the various markets within India with respect to our target brands and business models. Thereafter take an ownership role in reporting progress in pursuit of the strategy.Lead Origination - to actively work to generate quality project leads through all available sources which conform to the agreed development strategy, brand strategies and technical standards. The Manager will be expected to be a self-starter and naturally inquisitive in seeking opportunities to grow our brand presence in India.Lead Analysis & Evaluation - to work effectively with the Development Team and external parties to provide efficient and accurate assessment of project leads/opportunities in order to achieve an early consensus on the projects inherent risks and opportunities. The Manager then works effectively with the Development Team to filter opportunities and establish the appropriate prioritisation and allocation of projects. This aspect of the job will require field work and hence travel. Development Authorities (DA)- to assist VP and Directors in the compilation of the DA (business case) for projects and thereafter helping to facilitate DA passing through the internal approval process in strict accordance with the Deal Approval Policy. Project Due Diligence- to assist VP and Directors to make certain that a complete and structured due diligence process is thoroughly conducted for all potential parties that Hilton proposes to contract with. This process is to be conducted in line with the company s strict Due Diligence guidelines.Proposal and Presentation Compilation - responsible for drafting a variety of proposals and presentations for the Development Team that are targeted to a wide range of both internal and external audiences. Once the objectives for each proposal or presentation have been set there will be an expectation that the Manager will manage all aspects of preparation and prompt delivery of a product of a high professional quality.Industry Networking - to establish and maintain productive, quality working relationships with industry consultants and competitors with a view to effectively obtain up to date market intelligence (in line with company policy) to be used as support and guidance in the compilation of Development Authorities and Development Strategy. The manager is to keep abreast of quality industry publications and other key information sources in order to remain educated on the latest market trends, risks and opportunities.Event Management - to assume prime responsibility of managing the logistics and operation of a number of key industry events throughout the year in a variety of different locations within the region (e.g. Hotel Investment Conferences and Investor Road Shows).Marketing - work with the Brand organisation and the B2B Marketing Team. The manager will be actively engaged in the conceptualisation, design and production of a wide variety of Development Marketing aids & collateral.Hilton Worldwide Profile - to sustain and grow the profile of Hilton Worldwide in the wider marketplace, government, business and social environs.Portfolio of Brands - to maintain up to date knowledge of the Brand portfolio and respective product initiatives and developments, in order to allow the Development Team to optimally position the individual Brands and Hilton Worldwide in the market place.
