Reports to the VP Technology (EIIC) and EIEC M&S CoE Head to execute technology roadmap and hiring plans as per the business needsSet Individual & departmental goals aligned with Corporate, Business Units, and EIIC strategic initiativesWork with EIIC leadership and global stake holders on work flow content, execution planning and ensuring work delivery in sync with program scheduleManage overall modeling and simulation team working at EIIC and provide technical leadership, coaching, and mentoring for successful execution of projectsLead the multiple technology portfolio; including Structural mechanics, Flow and Thermal, Electromagnetics and Plant modeling domainEnsuring internal and external customer orientation for the overall business are functioning properlyManage talent needs through talent acquisition, development and retention for the M&S CoE engineering organization at EIICSupport the resource planning and coordinate with IT team needs of software/hardware as part of organization profit plansTimely and quality delivery of results on requested analysis measured by OTD and FPYNPI efficacy and predictable execution on programs Design cycle time reduction, Analysis first approachDevelopment of DP capability by leveraging synergy across divisionsEmployee engagement and retention Employee survey scores and turn-over rateIP creation Number of patent and disclosuresEmployee development - Development plan completion, expert locator & DFSS certificationsOversee the EIIC M&S CoE group activities either directly or through subordinates including engineering processes, applicable quality processes (ISO-9000, AS9100, EQS, Eaton corporate process (ProLaunch, APEX, EBE,etc), and applicable compliance (ITAR, EAR), and patent related activities.Ensure employee engagement & managerial effectiveness through execution on employee survey action planBasic Qualifications (Including Educational Requirements)Basic Qualifications- Minimum education for this position is a Masters in engineering (Mechanical or Electrical discipline). A well-rounded understanding of various engineering systems, product/technology development and quality process related capabilities is required. Candidates having DFSS knowledge with MBB/GB certifications will be desirable.- Experience of over 12 years relevant experience with more than 08 years leading and managing large engineering teams. Should have skills in- Proven ability to consistently achieving results, even under tough circumstances.- Address difficult issues, create and foster safe work environment- Attract and select the best talent to meet current and future business needs- Develop people build strong-identity teams that apply their diverse skills and perspectives to achieve common goals- Can relate openly and comfortably with diverse groups of people- Change orientation and ability to learn new technology and subjects with ease
Degree: ME/ M.Tech./ MS (Engg/ Sciences)
