Manage a team of direct reports to ensure consistent execution excellence in PO tracking processes with accountability for achieving assigned metrics and value goals. Set goals and objectives of team.Provide weekly performance updates to management and Minneapolis partners. Hold team accountable to performance and create action plans when performance is below acceptable standards. Partner with Minneapolis HQ central team to prioritize work. In addition, establish and maintain communication channels with other Minneapolis partners in Merchandising Operation team and departments as needed.Coach and develop team members into high potential/performing executives with upward career mobility. Provide feedback that improves performance. Accountable for on the job training and development within the team. Conducts performance appraisal for the team members. Works to provide business context of the teams functions.Develop and present process improvement concepts and strategies to senior management in partnership with direct reports. Clearly identify problems to be addressed and expected benefits resulting from alternative solutions.Lead and drive special projects including those on evolution of best methods, measuring business impact delivered and driving effectiveness in Merchandising and supply chain areas.Partner with leaders to identify future processes and develop business cases to establish/transition processes . Once approved, execute transition with same or better quality and efficiency results. Develop and administer appropriate procedures, timetables, approval schedules and allocation of resources to ensure processes are completed efficiently and on time.Ensure team members feel valued and have a Target brand experience.Educate team members on retail concepts by collaborating with global teams. Provide team members with updates on competitor activities, department specific strategy, financials and other such activities that help build a better appreciation of Target s businessEnsure self-development by being proactive in identifying and participating in training and development programs, classes, seminars or work experience to strengthen capabilities for future performanceOther projects and duties as assigned by supervisor.REPORTING/WORKING RELATIONSHIPSReports to Senior Manager Target IndiaWorks closely with Merchandise Planning, EDABI, Transportation areas.JOB REQUIREMENTSMINIMUM REQUIREMENTS5-6 years of experience in Merchandising & Supply chain operationsMBA or equivalent,Experience of leading a teams, coaching and developing team membersAbility to multi-task and prioritizeAbility to learn about systems and toolsExperience working with cross functional teamsStrong analytical and critical thinking skillsExcellent oral/written communication skillsSystems experience (Microsoft Office Suite, Query Tools)DESIRED REQUIREMENTSPrevious supervisory experienceExperience with Indian, US Retail Merchandising6Sigma certification
