Job Description This position oversees and manages a Global team of Windows Server Engineers that is responsible for the infrastructure for the design and implementation of all Windows Server solutions, Automation and Active Directory. Provide expertise for Server infrastructure, application infrastructure, and related services throughout the lifecycle of a deal in accordance with contractually established terms and conditions and established technical standards. Responsible for enforcing standard configurations, identifying weaknesses, optimizing processes, refreshing server operating system to latest versions and leading the team to new technologies. Provides infrastructure technical support, including planning, project management, installation, on-going management/monitoring/troubleshooting, and de-installation, following operational policies and processes that are compliant with ITIL standards. Has accountability for results of a major program in terms of cost, direction and people management. You will also be part of developing and maintaining a standard for automated system provisioning, Disaster Recovery, and system maintenance. This position is also responsible for implementation and oversight of sustaining technology governance processes and associated teaching and mentoring of Business and Associates in proper use of the technology and application base. Recruits and supports development of direct staff members. Roles and Responsibilities Builds relationship with key user and store operation groups to identify and resolve business issues. Manages system development and support activities to meet user needs in a timely and cost effective manner while ensuring the right things get done as per the governance process. Manages and tracks the progress of multiple projects. Project management and administration that include work plans, resource planning and control, writing status reports, and preparing annual budgets. Communicates status of development design to the Operations team. Responsible for mentoring, training, career development, performance management of remotely based technical team. Schedule, prioritize, and manage projects globally. Develop, implement and enforce standards globally. Provide direction for and support of process change initiatives including robust documentation and training. Manage area(s), customer(s), or team(s) of HPE employees with well defined, limited scope, including directing daily work activities/priorities, people recruitment and development, cost management, and direction-setting within the area of responsibility. Coach and mentor employee direct reports. May coach and mentor dotted line reports as needed. Manage FPR process for HPE employees. Manage team and individual performance. Monitor and ensure organizational goals and contractual commitments are met (e.g. budget/cost, service availability, responses, reports). Advise management and peers on matters of importance to area(s) of responsibility. Propose/influence direction-setting. Resolve/monitor customer escalations as appropriate. Establish and manage relationships with customer subject matter experts and appropriate customer management, with an objective of maintaining and building the business.
