Job DescriptionPlan marketing and branding objectivesAnalyze market trends and recommend changes to marketing and business development strategies based on analysis and feedbackProvides information by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trendsLiaising and networking with a range of stakeholders including customers, colleagues and suppliersSustains rapport with key accounts by making periodic visits, exploring specific needs and anticipating new opportunities.Plans and oversees the organization's advertising and promotion activities including print, electronic, and direct mail outlets.Prepare and adhere to budgetsOversee creation and delivery of press releases, advertisements, and other marketing materialsManaging the production of marketing materials, including leaflets, posters, flyers, newsletters and e-newsletterWriting and proofreading copy and liaising with designers and printersArranging the effective distribution of marketing materials and maintaining and updating customer databasesOrganizing and attending events such as conferences, seminars, receptions and exhibitionsConducting market research, for example using customer questionnaires and focus groupsEvaluating marketing campaigns and monitoring competitor activityGather and analyze customer insightNurture and enrich all external perceptions of the company and growth of market shareEngage consumers on social mediaDeepen relationships with all media to ensure the most effective messaging and positioning of the organizationLead all areas of content generation and production across all media platformsTake calculated risks based on data-driven analyticsDrive overall CRM and direct marketingCollaborate with sales and sourcing to develop strategic partnership activities and implement the execution framework and strategic plan on identified opportunities CompetenciesStrong effective communicatorHighly developed, demonstrated teamwork skillsDemonstrated ability to increase productivity and continuously improve methods, approaches, and departmental contributionCommitment to continuous learningExpert in Internet and social media strategy with a demonstrated track recordDemonstrated effectiveness in holding conversations with customers, customer evangelism, and customer-focused product development and outreachDemonstrated ability to see the big picture and provide useful advice and input across the companyAbility to lead in an environment of constant changeExperience working in a flexible, employee empowering work environment.Familiarity and skill with the tools of the trade in marketing including PR, written communication, website development, market research, product packaging, Microsoft software suite of products, visual communication software products, and creative servicesPreferred Qualifications and ExperienceProfessional degree by a Managerial qualification e.g. MBA in Marketing or Master's degree (M. A.) or equivalent; or four to ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.Experience in design and management of social media interventions
