Product Control IT develops applications and provides IT support to the banks Product Control function. PC is a global function, covering multiple sites across all business lines. The main functional areas covered are Product Control IT is composed of 300+ staff spread over three continents (Europe, Asia and US).Main Duties and Responsibilities Provide tech leadership for some concurrent streams within MOTIF, analyse requirements provide innovative and correct solutions Partner with the PCIT and IB Design Authority for tech related topics, and imbibe them into the deliverables. Provide knowledge transfer and mentor junior members of the team. To provide delivery oversight for a 30+ vendor team in India. Maintain high quality of deliverables. Drive adoption of Agile techniques.Application Delivery The Lead is responsible for setting structure for operating model, development lifecycle and strong focus on release management. Since there would be multiple ongoing projects, ability to manage cross-business timelines would be a plus. Review analysis on technical and functional requirements. Troubleshoot performance and functional problems. Stakeholder Management and Leadership Engage with Support functions to ensure smooth deliveries and overall coordination of releases. Liaise with global development lead and peers across regions for coordinated releases. Be able to offer delivery program solutions, drive consensus and manage multiple project deliveriesRequirements Core Technical Skills Candidates will have strong hands on experience of the following; preferably in the context of large scale high volume, low latency application development Java (version 7 preferred), XML handling (parsing, transform, schema), JUnit , JDBC and common extensions and strong knowledge about Java technologies like Spring , Hibernate and ORACLE 8.x or higher. IT and Business stakeholder management & governance, team building and management experience, Conflict management, Excellent communication and Interpersonal skills Strong communications skills and good presentation skills (Fluency in English, written and verbal); Ability to gain knowledge from colleagues and train others to grow within the team. Strong leadership and organisation skills with proven ability to be able to manage other people s workload and ensure all deliverables as a group are met. Demonstrate experience in building capability of team/s around technology and processes Be able to work with Key Business Stakeholders / Project Delivery Teams to establish timelines/delivery requirements to deliver solutions. Development Manager experience within the financial services industry and delivering large scale enterprise systems.
