Position OverviewDrive various projects in alternate format development and innovations WITHIN R&D budget, company objectives and statutory requirements WITH THE OBJECTIVE of helping the company extend its arms in all emerging fields of technology with key importance to baked category and related productsKey Stakeholders Internal Head - R&D; Standards Manager Technical Services; Product Development Officers; Marketing, Eng. & Projects/Materials And Planning; Operations/Quality Assurance/SalesExternal Ingredients And Equipment Manufacturers And Suppliers; Food Legislation Personnel Job RequirementsEducation Post Graduate, preferably in Food Technology Experience Exp in related fields of Food Science & TechnologyCompetencies Knowledge of Food Products Manufacturing, Regulatory, Quality Assurance And Research & Development Key Responsibilities Design products and services - Develop New Products Understand Marketing Brief and convert into Recipe and Ingredient Specifications for claims for assigned projects for local and export markets. Create concept samples and conduct feasibility studies. Check on legal compliance, calculate costs, identify ingredient and equipment requirements. Coordinate the sourcing of ingredients and model key; conduct pilot plant trails and then scale up in actual production centre. Prepare product and process standards documents and circulate to designated plant and QA; Create the WIP codes, update WIP and FG BOMs IN ORDER TO ensure timely development and commercialization of innovations Market and sell - Understand Markets - Competitor Understanding Collect and analyse competitor samples from the market; Source ingredients from suppliers and provide samples for market research; validate findings of pilot plant trials through market research IN ORDER TO ensure products are acceptable in the market and ahead of competitorsManage information resources and technology - Manage SAP Availability and Features Updating of technical documentation regarding recipe and co-ordinate with packaging to enable transfer of Technical info IN ORDER TO share accurate information in a timely manner Produce and deliver products and services - Provide Engineering Support Help in identifying technology, suppliers and equipment manufacturers for equipment and process up gradation; Support engineering in sourcing / developing equipment for new products IN ORDER TO ensure availability of appropriate machinery for productionMarket and sell - Manage Brands - All round product renovations Conduct technical feasibility, collect data and evaluate products and machines; Conduct pilot plant trials, scale up and support IN ORDER TO ensure timely and successful renovation / innovation of products Others Capex Budgeting Evaluation - Prepare data and technical documentation for bNBD- Product Development related CERsMaterial Variances Monitoring - Track changes in recipe and upload in SAPVendor Management - Recommend new vendors for ingredient sourcing
