ResponsibilitiesPlans, organizes, directs and controls the manufacturing functions of theplant and run optimum day-to-day operations to exceed customersexpectationsCoordinate production schedules, staffing volume (ratio of indirect to directlabor) and overall cost of doing business to produce modules on scheduleand with qualityCollect and analyse data to find places of waste or overtimeDevelop systems and processes that track and optimise productivity andstandards, metrics and performance targets to ensure effective return onassetsOganize operational standards (pieces/HR) and reporting daily efficienciesIdentify quality/cost problems and take appropriate action including haltingproduction, determining root cause, and initiating corrective actionsIncrease production, assets capacity and flexibility while minimisingunnecessary costs and maintaining current quality standardsBe responsible for production output, product quality and on-time shippingAllocate resources effectively and fully utilise assets to produce optimalresultsMonitor operations and trigger corrective actionsCommit to plant safety procedures. Conducts plant inspections to ensuresafe work practices and if necessary, corrective action to assure thatprocedures and practices are being followedResponsible for the implementation and compliance with shop floorstandards such as 5S, Policy and Procedures, and Labor RelationsActivities. Responsible for compliance to OSHA and the ProvincialOccupational Health and Safety ActResponsible for operations include module assembly line in Bangalore,National UG centers and National Repair shopsManage production supervisors, coordinators, Process Engineering andseveral UGC and repair shop production supervisorsShare a trusting relationship with workgroup and recruit, manage anddevelop module assembly staffImplement strategies in alignment with strategic initiatives and provide aclear sense of direction and focusAddress employees issues or grievances and administer collectivebargaining agreementsLeads all operations (assembly line in Bangalore, National UG centersand National Repair shops) and coordinates the work of production lineleadersRequirements Must have a B.E. degree in engineering either in mechanical or EE or IEmajor. MBA would be a plusProven working experience as a plant manager. 10 years solidmanufacturing experience and out of it a minimum of five yearssupervisory experience in a manufacturing assembly environment is amustAdequate knowledge of business and management principles (budgeting,strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources)Ability to create accountability and to lead by exampleExcellent working relationship with plant engineering, maintenance,Purchasing, Shipping/Receiving, inventory control, QA, Sales/Mkg,Evolion Field Service group and the GM of Bangalore operationsFamiliar with Quality management, JIT/APQP/OEM, TS16949, ISO 14001.Familiar with ISO TS16949 quality & ISO 14000 requirements andprocedures.Detailed knowledge about Industrial engineering, Kaizen, and othercontinuous improvement techniques.Working knowledge of Indian labor and human resource lawStrong team building, decision-making and people management skillsTeam player familiar with goal setting and achievement processExcellent trouble shooting & problem resolution abilityMust demonstrate strong leadership and supervisory skillsMust demonstrate a strong verbal and written language skills in English,Hindi and Kannada
Degree: MBA/ PGDM | ME/ M.Tech./ MS (Engg/ Sciences)

Additional Degree: BE/ B.Tech (Engineering)
