An established Waste Management Company in Abu Dhabi requires
Manages the development, revision and implementation of policies and procedures for the operations department.
Establishes the operations department KPIs and methods to achieve them. Enforces the implementation of the companys Quality, IMS, OSHMS systems and conducts the required audits.
Ensures efficient and timely transition from sales team to operations; plans mobilization.
Organizes and schedules all necessary resources required to accomplish the operations activities; planning and coordinating daily operational needs with the maintenance team.
Analyzes field operations and formulates improvements to ensure compliance with the local and state regulations; performs route planning, long-range planning for staffing needs, equipment replacement and other operational requirements.
Sets and monitors productivity, service and safety targets for each route, driver and site. Plans, distributes, monitors and follows up daily route assignments to ensure customers are serviced per the company standards and agreements.
Selects and trains operations staff; assists the supervisory staff in resolving operational or supervisory problems.
Establishes standards, prepares annual performance plans, evaluates performance and reviews performance evaluations prepared by subordinate supervisors; and takes and approves disciplinary actions.
Conducts weekly safety meetings to address key safety items / recent incidents. Manages end-of day check-in process, capturing and communicating key service, safety and equipment issues.
Drafts budget; prepares Requests for Proposals (RFPs) for equipment and services; represents the company in negotiations with vendors and service contractors and participates in contract administration in disputed contractual matters.
Prepares staff reports, including performance reports for presentation to the management.
Handles customer service section; report, resolves and documents all complaints and ensures customer satisfaction.
Any other job assigned by the Managing Director.
Desired Qualifications:
Experience: 10-15 years
Sectors: Waste Management, Logistics, Transportation and Shipping
Education: Bachelors degree or graduate in one or two of the following:
* Business, Economy, Management, Finance * Operations Management
* Industrial Management * Logistics
Certificates: Project Management, Supply Chain, Planning and Scheduling, Fleet Management, Assets Management, Lean Operations, Six Sigma, ISO, ERP (these certificates will be an advantage)
Attributes and Skills:
* Excellent communication skills
* Great planner and result oriented
* Understanding of customer needs and quality
* Leadership skills; ability to coach, mentor and train
* Achiever; works well individually, in a team environment and under pressure
