The Oracle DBA shall be the primary manager and custodian of the Data Repositories of theOrganization. He/She shall be responsible for the planning, installation , monitoring and maintenance and overall management of the Oracle Database(s). The Oracle DBA shall be requiredto work with the Business and Technical teams to ensure that the Database growth and management is in line with the Business Growth strategies.Tasks and Responsibilities 24/7 support of production database services to ensure the highest standards of availability, resilience, integrity, security and performance required for business. Design, development and administration of all enterprise Oracle databases. Design, development, implementation and management of the organizations Database Backup StrategyMonitoring and management Continuous proactive performance monitoring, reporting, and tuning of Oracle databases. Management and maintenance of all back-up & recovery procedures. Installation and maintenance of database servers, replication and client environments. Continuous review and tuning of SQL and PL/SQL code. Consult, design and development of database packages, procedures and routines to meet specific business requirements. Deployment, maintenance and review of security, audit and access control procedures. Provision of support and assistance to the development team in the design, development, testing, tuning and implementation of database applications.Creation and maintenance of SQL queries and routines. Provisioning of (database) development and testing environments. Writing ad-hoc queries based on schema knowledge for various reporting requirements. Writing / Tuning data ingestion procedures from external suppliers and partners using PL/SQL, SQL Loader, 3rd party tools e.g. TOAD, SQLNAV and other relevant tools. Required to deal with complex data models and object relational database mapping, while producing complex reports Predicting future Oracle trends for hardware usage and user load Managing Budgets for Database growth. Minimum QualificationsBachelors Degree in Computer Science or a computer-related field Oracle Database 10g (or above) Administrator Certified Professional (OCP)
