Coordinate/chair calls between UBS and our critical vendors. Drive behavior between the teams to increase the level of partnership and trust Work with vendor to drive our strategic initiatives to deliver our Operating Plans. Eg. IWM implementation, Robotics, Global Trade Management model, etc. Make sure that all newly offshored roles are integrated offshore without impacting day-to-day support Act as a senior point of escalation / on the ground support for any critical RTB issues Manage/mentor/support UBS India OTC staff- take ownership of their performance and motivate them to deliver the Offshore Target Operating model (TOM). Make sure the risk culture within the vendor is well managed and driven across the entire vendor organization. Engage teams/individuals when incidents occur to ensure lessons are learnt Work with the vendor to enhance delivery, notably in meeting cost targets set out Drive improved communication between onshore/offshore teams Develop staff at the vendor to increase their understanding of the product area Oversee roll out of strategic initiatives at Vendor location in a structured and controlled manner to deliver benefits without introducing risk or impacting clients of the OTC business Share knowledge from OTC TOM initiatives to help improve offshore understanding of the new infrastructureYour Team You'll be working at the vendor location (Hyderabad) for UBS OTC Settlements in Group Operations. Were responsible for Vendor Management for Derivatives Operations. Derivatives Operations have an offshore footprint of 180 staff in India that are managed under the vendor setup. This role is for an OTC Settlements experienced Authorised Officer/Associate Director based in Hyderabad. This is an opportunity to shape a new supervisory structure in India within the offshoring and outsourcing domain with a strong growth potentialYour Experience and Skills You haveexperience of Banking Operations especially in OTC Operations Good understanding of operational risk, particularly in relation to the OTC Settlements businessExperience of working on OTC systems (OBOE/TLM) is a strong benefit Flexibility there is a significant element of reacting to circumstances and defining & delivering to requirements at the last moment. The person who will be successful in this role is able to juggle numerous tasks of different types, which could range from strategy development, through delivery, relationship management and everyday administration Excellent organizational and rigorous follow-up skillsRelationship building and management, ability to manage conflict and tension Influencing and communication skills, particularly to senior stakeholders from a remote locationLeadership skills and professionalism, to act as a representative of UBS and role model to vendor staff Integrity and discretion are key to help Make sure sensitive information is handled with careGeneral ability to pick up information quickly and turn around deliverables under pressure Ability to work as per EMEA/ early North America time-zoneContinuous improvement focus/ ability to apply to processesYou are a great communicator, you know how to speak with people at all levelsan expert at building networks and connections having a pragmatic "can do" attitudeable to challenge the status quo a team player and people management skillsProficient in presentation and analysis techniques and tools (MS Office, Excel, PowerPoint etc).
Degree: CA (Chartered Accountant) | MBA/ PGDM
