Roles & ResponsibilitiesMaintain payroll information such as time sheet, attendance, leave balance, leaves encashment, Insurance, Incentives, Bonus, ESIC, EPF, Wage Increments in a systemic manner.Conducts C&B Survey/ Benchmarks and recommends basis for salary increments.Update payroll records w.r.t. changes in exemptions, insurance coverage, deductions, terminations, transfers, etc.Prepare various payroll related reports and addresses variety of payroll queries and escalations. Conducts root-cause analysis and takes decisions based on existing policies, process and past instances in consultation with reporting manager.Resolves payroll discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information.Receive and make calls to employees relating to payroll/ attendance inquiries.Maintain employee confidence and keeps payroll information confidential.Proactively documents and communicates changes in policies to employees with respect to payroll, TDS, etc.Transfer input to payroll vendor/ check with vendors output and finalize salary register.Coordination with banks for smooth salary transfer.Liaise with the Payroll, PF & Statutory Consultants.Complete the PF/ ESI Formalities.Responsible for Benefits Administration activities.Responsible for keeping and maintaining time office records like Attendance and Leaves.Responsible for issue resolution involving vendors/ upstream /downstream processes.Act upon payroll requests in a timely manner, without impacting the business.Ensure adherence to policies and legislations related to payroll and employee payments.Audits and reconciliation Perform reconciliation to maintain the accuracy of payroll.Adherence to compliance/ statutory recovery like TDS / PF/ FPF/ ESIC, Medical Insurance etc.Ensure accuracy of records on the payroll system through thorough checks and control reports.Full and final settlement of leaving/ resigned employees in a timely manner.Maintain detailed audit trails for all activities, and maintain effective documentation of each case.Participates in cross-functional process improvement initiatives, documents and implements business requirements for system enhancements in Payroll.Desired Education/ Skills & Competencies B.Com with MBA with 5+ year experience in payroll in medium / large scale Software Industry.Experience of handling end to end payroll processing function.Strong competencies in Excel, Compensation & Benefit (C&B) and data analysis.Ability to manage confidential and sensitive employee information.Ability to quickly grasp company policy on salary/ wage increases, leave entitlements, other adjustments and termination payments and implement in the system effectively.Strong in process management and data management with attention to detail and ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment.Ability to build relationships and influence others.Individual contributor, Self-motivated with good problem solving and communication skills.Ability to multi task and ensure completion of payroll cycle right the first time, every time.
Additional Degree: BE/ B.Tech (Engineering)
