Job Details

Support project set up, project planning, project control and reporting, and project closure for Shell projects.Assist new Shell PMs through the Shell organisation, Project Delivery Framework (PDF), reporting tools and IPPD project processes.Assist Project Managers to define project approach and requirements by identifying project milestones, phases, and elements; to form project team; and to establish the project budget.Assist Project Managers in the creation and maintenance of project deliverables and in monitoring, tracking and reporting project status.Support assurance activities to review project deliverables for compliance to PDF.Financial analysis - monitor, track, and reconcile project costs versus budget with attention to management of supplier spend.Prepare reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.Support risk and issue management.Support change management.Assist with management of project portfolio.Governance support creation and execution of a project governance model.Support stakeholder management internal and external communications; communication plan creation and execution.Support communication planning and execution including development of communications and creating meeting minutes. Managing and collecting input from multiple PMs for steering committee presentations.AccountabilitiesFollow all Shell standard enterprise wide and IPPD project processes.Act as trusted advisor to project teams and support organizations on assurance and project reporting matters. Close interaction is required with many global stakeholders crossing a number of functions.Consult on ways to improve function and reduce transition and support costs.Dimensions and Special ChallengesReports into the Shell PMO lead in the Business Operations and Project Services team of IPPD.Understanding of Shell IPPD project management practices and applying standards to ensure project management compliance.Delivering through others - delivering results via supplier / Shell staff.Working in a Virtual team across multiple time zones may require availability during early morning and/or late evening hours. Managing time and work-life balance is critical.Collaboration with multiple, cross discipline, cross organizational stakeholders virtually.RequirementsSkills and QualificationsMandatoryProven experience in a project management or PMO role in a multinational Enterprise.Graduate / Post graduate with relevant experience.Fluent in English both in writing and speaking and demonstrating well developed communication skills.Knowledge of Shell s Project Delivery Framework or experience using an enterprise project life cycle standard.Self-starter with good analysis and problem solving skills.Experience of working in a global virtual team environment.Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.MS Office including Outlook, MS Excel, MS Power Point and MS Word.Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables, V look up and H lookup.PreferredProject management certification preferred (e.g. PMI, Prince 2).Demonstrated understanding of project management principles.Experience in negotiation skills.Experience in relationship management.Experience in vendor management
Degree: M.Com. (Commerce) | M.Pharm. (Pharmacy) | M.Sc. (Science) | MA (Arts) | MBA/ PGDM | MCA/ PGDCA
