JOB SUMMARY Manage the entire product life cycle for Liability Products including design, launch plan, pricing analysis, product maturity and phase off by liaising with distribution, channel, compliance, communication, technology, credit and other relevant departments Specify market requirements by conducting market research supported by on-going visits to customers and non-customers. Translate inputs from market share to forecast demand, market share, positioning, pricing etc and build a product profitability plan and submit for approval Develop and implement a company-wide go-to-market plan, working with all departments including distribution/sales channels and communications to execute. Organize product trainings for launch, expansion and capacity building Analyze potential partner relationships for the product. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES Business Manage the design, features and benefits of products, volume forecasting & market share; suggest appropriate positioning and pricing dimensions To carry out pricing analysis, determine and support distribution channels, design, develop and implement promotional plans for the products. To specify market requirements for current and future products by conducting market research supported by on-going visits to customers and non-customers. Develop a product profitability plan, and on approval monitor plan vs actual profitability To analyze potential partner relationships for the product. To ready and execute the competition and market share strategy for the product line on an ongoing and pro-active manner Design Campaigns suitable for product Analyze MIS for product and suggest suitable tweaks in distribution strategy to ensure product profitability Customer Communicate with all areas of the company, including distribution/sales, credit, operations, technology, communication and strategy to take input in developing and distributing the products Plan and conduct regular customer and non-customer visits to gain an insight into customer behavior and product demand. Forecast product changes requirement basis customer feedback and take appropriate steps Internal Process Work with marketing communications to define the go-to-market strategy, helping them understand the product positioning, key benefits, and target customer. Serve as the internal and external evangelist for your product offering, closely working with the distribution/sales channels and key customers. Work with and credit counterpart to define product underwriting and release requirements. Monitor product performance on an ongoing basis with various cuts related to regions / customer segments etc and make suitable suggestions / tweaks to ensure the product profitability Learning & Performance Ensure adherence to training man-days/ mandatory training programs for self and team Ensure goal-setting, midyear -review and annual appraisal process happens within specified timelines for self and team. Guide team in developing products and execute within prescribed timelines Organize product trainings for launch, expansion and capacity building ROLE REQUIREMENTS Desired Qualification MBA/ PGDM or equivalent from a Tier 2 or above B-school Desired Experience 5+years of product line experience (sales/operations/product/marketing) of Savings & Deposits with at least 1 year of product management experience. Experience of managing Savings & Deposits for low & middle income groups and/or Micro & Small Enterprises (small businesses) will be an added advantage FUNCTIONAL KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS (Knowledge and skills needed for satisfactory performance of the job) Financial Management Knowledge of market competition, industry practices and regulations for Savings & Deposits products such as SA, RD & FD. Knowledge of CA (desirable) Market Research Product Management Business Analysis BEHAVIOURAL COMPETENCIES Listening skills and understanding business needs Critical thinking and problem solving skills Planning & Organizing Creativity & innovation Ability to manage teams and drive performance Written and verbal Communication skills Strong analytical skills and data-driven thinking Strong strategic capabilities
