JOB SUMMARYMSE Loans is a growing business for Ujjivan. TheProgramManager-MSE is the most important position that will drive this business in the respective cluster. The position is responsible for overall growth and success of the business in the cluster.Oversees the performance of the MSE portfolio of his/her cluster in terms of growth (amount and client base) and productivity of relationship officers by guiding them and carrying out constructive reviews of their performance.Guides the relationship officers in carrying out marketing and sales activity, customer appraisals and proposal preparation.Maintains relationship with high value MSE customers to maximize value and get referralsExercises control and carries outrecovery of loans in his/her cluster, carries out risk assessment and recovery strategies.Identifies suitable branches and locations for MSE Loans,in coordination with the branch, credit & product teams, and gets the locations activated. Ensures proper goal setting, resource planning, marketing and sourcing of MSE loans.Identifies legal and technical evaluators in the locations during expansion.Works closely with product and marketing team to drive suitable branding and marketing activities in his/her respective cluster.PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIESBusinessDaily/ Weekly /Monthly achievement of the accomplishment of targets (new customer acquisition, retention and enhancements of existing customers) according to the annual/monthly targets established for the cluster and branches under his/her responsibility to provide guidance and solutions to his/her teamMonitors and takes action to achieve Controls targets and results on daily, weekly, monthly basis of portfolio of risk by different categories such as days in arrears, number of installment due, amount within his/her cluster, branch, relationship officer with the objective to identify tendencies and risks.Supports relationship officers- in his/her cluster in their duties of client visits, risk assessment and recovery strategiesImplement, supervise and control effectiveness of commercial strategy with his/her team to reach the productivity and growth targets established.Carries out assessment of high value MSE customers and personally prepares their proposals.Ensure, supervise the correct implementation of the credit procedures including all the respective toolsEvaluate the staff competences in terms of promotion, business assessment and credit risk assessment capacity and propose solutions for improvementCustomerEnsure customers are educated about all products/services offered by Ujjivan.Maintains relationship with high value customers.Ensure lower customer attrition by providing different products as per customer requirement.Focus on lower TAT as per laid down standards.Internal ProcessEnsure compliance with lending guidelines, quality framework and audit requirements; ensure speedy resolution of any audit observations and take necessary steps to prevent recurrence audit and other regulations.Review of loan proposals prepared by relationship officers and participate in sanction process as per policy guidelinesMonitor the portfolio of his/her territory and take corrective actions as necessaryEnsure, supervise the correct implementation of the credit procedures including all the respective toolsDiscuss strategies and changes in terms of products, capacity building, procedures etc.Learning & PerformanceEnsure that all members of his team are up to date on all relevant circulars and all products/services offered in the BranchEnsure adherence to training man-days/ mandatory training programs for self and teamProvide on the job coaching to relationship officers by accompanying them to marketing activities, customer visits, appraisals, agencies and sanction committees.Ensure goal-setting, mid-year review and annual appraisal process within specified timelines for self and teamMonitor performance of staff against defined goals/metrics and take corrective action wherever required; undertake disciplinary and attendance monitoring of secured loans team.Role RequirementsDesired QualificationGraduate in Commerce or related subjectsDesired ExperienceMin. 3 yearsin sales and documentation of loansof which at least 1 years in secured loans, business loans or loan against property in an NBFC/ Bank/HFC. Mixed experience of Sales + Credit is acceptable, but should be predominantly in sales.FUNCTIONAL KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS(Knowledge and skills needed for satisfactory performance of the job)Ability to manage teams and drive sales performance. Will be required to take complete ownership of MSEloan at cluster level.Ability to engage with customers, colleagues & agencies providing valuation and legal opinion. Plan & execute Marketing and Sales promotion for MSE Loan.Ability to plan and coordinateTeam handling Experience is highly preferredAbility to speak and read regional language(s)- is desirable. Ability to communicate in English (Read-speak-write) is required.
