An IT or business person responsible for managing the rollout of CMS/JAVA/.NET/Mobility projects to the organization, and the teams involved. They will be the liaison between business and IT.KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORSMANAGEMENTShow excellence in leadership, management and client liaison.Enforce Governance Plan.Manage projects, resources and budget.Ongoing research into the technology to stay up to date with trends and best practices.Develop / manage best practices for project execution and management.COMMUNICATIONIdentify and resolve conflicts in the team.Coach, mentor, inspire and motivate the team.Facilitate client and team meetings.Build, develop and grow business relationships.Communicate progress effectively to senior management.PROJECTS Define project scope, goals and deliverables.Write business case and obtain approval.Develop and maintain project plan.Oversee quality control throughout project lifecycle.Manage resources and deadlines.Manage scope changes.Ensure project documentation is completed with proper processes in place.Conduct RCA, compile lessons learnt and communicate to team.REPORTINGDevelop and deliver progress reports on projects, migrations, upgrades, etc.Determine frequency and content of status reports from team members.POST DIMENSIONSTYPICAL PROBLEMSManaging the different personality types that often lead to conflict.Understanding the technology sufficiently enough to make a call on issues.IMPACT OF DECISIONSScheduling the projects in the wrong order can influence time to market of product lines.Not keeping strict control over the effort/estimation/Budget and project plan can lead to vast overspending due to scope creep.Developing excessive reporting requirements can alienate team members and affect productivity, (reporting for the sake of reporting).SPECIAL ASPECTS OF POSTNeed to be able to work under pressure.Need to stay very current with industry best practices and trends at all times.You need to communicate daily with the rest of the team on issues, management and future of the platform.Must have strong leadership skills and mentor and empower the support team.You will communicate with top management so need to be professional and articulate at all times.INTERACTION LEVELSBusiness users.Management team.IT staff.Vendors/ClientsWORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREDMinimum 2 years management of a JAVA/.NET/CMS/MOBILITY Projects.Minimum 5 years proven project management in software projects.Overall 12+ years of experienceSKILLS REQUIREDProject management qualification (ITIL, PMP etc), or equivalent experience.Understanding of both theoretical and practical aspects of project management.Knowledge of project management techniques and tools.Proven experience in people management, strategic planning, risk and change management.Proficient in project management software.ATTRIBUTES REQUIREDStrong leadership and influencer skills.Critical thinking and problem solving skills.Team player.Decision making skills.Ability to see the big picture .Work with all levels of staff up to top management.Good negotiation skills.Willingness to take ownership.Stress tolerance.Willingness to share information and communicate effectively.Work without supervision.
