Review, analyze, and evaluate business systems and user needs. Collect and document user and business requirements using a variety of methods including user interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, surveys, business process descriptions, use cases, task and workflow analysisAbility to manage multiple assignments and deliverables concurrently.Prepare routine status reporting for projects assigned.Collaborate with developers and subject matter experts to establish the technical vision and to prepare the impact analysis necessary to design a proper solution. Create test scenarios and execute tests on software (as needed) to confirm fixes and/or new application functionality is working as required; coordinate with business users on user acceptance testing for new software releases. Work directly with business users to troubleshoot and resolve issues with the business software (as needed). Escalate to and work with technology team to resolve complex support issues. Contribute to knowledgebase articles to address frequently asked questions and best practices for loan origination. Perform all other duties as assignedQualificationsBachelor s Degree in a related area or work experience of an equivalent nature.Minimum of five years experience as a business analyst or comparable role. The ideal candidate would have working knowledge of the forward or reverse mortgage industry, ideally around the originations functions.Knowledge and demonstrated experience in at least one structured development methodology (i.e. SDLC, waterfall, scrum, agile, phase gate, etc)Proven ability to translate user requests into business requirements and to play a significant role in the functional design of new system functionality.Proven self-starter with good organization skills and the ability to work well both independently and as part of a teamProficient with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Project)Comfortable in ambiguous and fast paced environment.Able to operate at a high level while willing to work on intimate details of a situationAbility to build relationships with and influence other functional areasOrganization and time management skills Operates independently with minimal guidance by managementProblem-solving skills with ability to perform root cause / corrective action analysisStrong interpersonal skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills; superior analytical and problem solving skills. Demonstrated flexibility and proven ability to work well with changing priorities. Commitment to excellence and with high standards; good judgment with the ability to make timely and sound decisions.
