Job Details

Manage the performance of QHSE activities in pursuit of overall company objectives. Plan and develop systems and procedure to improve the operating Quality and HSE efficiencies within the project. Managing the environmental aspects that are required at the project sites, such as any emissions and control over the Odour produced by water and solid material all of which must comply with the required Permit. Performs reporting, risk assessments and auditing and observation on all QHSE related activities and policies within a Project. Ensures operations are conducted in a safe and efficient manner and in conformance to company safety regulations by integrating and implementing company and third-party QHSE policies and procedures. Performs post-incident investigations and communicates with the QHSE Manager and others until all action items have been closed. Files QHSE documents and participates in job risk analysis and continual improvement. Typically has completed required Quality, health, safety & environmental training who is in intermediate level positions perform more complex duties requiring some skills and judgment. Some decision making may be made independently, may work under supervision. This level is part of developing knowledge and problem-solving skills.ResponsibilitiesEvaluating performance and providing support and feedback to project personnel.Control over environmental conditions.Work with management, employees, occupational health and environmental professionals, community, regulatory agencies and government officials.Controlling and supervising quality whilst preventing occupational risk.Characterizing the waste at any point during the processes when necessary or when the project manager requires it.Attend meetings and contribute to company strategy and policy-making as required.Perform internal and external QHSE audits.Monitor, measure and report on compliance with all QHSE legislation applicable to the companys activities.Provide interpretation of QHSE legislation, enforce QHSE legislation.Source timely and competent advice from regulatory authorities as may be appropriate.AID the company in the continued Maintenance of ISO accreditation.Complying with all EA permit conditions.Monitoring the environmental and safety aspects of the plant and process.Oversee the project work day to day work on QHSE aspect.Perform audit out of the schedule upon request of the management.Investigate indecent and Accidents and report results to Management.Monthly meeting on QHSE issues and suggestions with the Management.Report to the Management on training need/request of personnel.Additional SkillsExcellent working knowledge of Microsoft office programmers, document management systems and approved procedures.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Personal AttributesWilling and able to bear high levels of responsibility and accountability.Able to evaluate information quickly, identify key issues and formulate conclusions based on sound, practical judgement, experience, and common sense.Able to work independently and prioritize own work load.Willing to work for the best interests of the business.Maintain the highest standard of personal conduct in performing all duties.Encourage a positive working environment.Willing and able to deal with problem situationsCommunicates honestly, openly, and consistently.Able to build a working relationship with customers and internal personnel based on respect and good rapport.
