KEY RESPONSIBILITYThe role of the Quality Analyst will entail the followingEnd-to-End Quality Management of Freelancers (FLs) and In-house Editors (IHEs) Checking, tracking, and improving the quality of FLs/IHEs through regular quality auditsMonitoring trends and facilitating decision making related to FL/IHE qualityProviding feedback, explaining grammatical concepts, checking process adherence, and building resources for FLs/IHEs maintaining healthy and professional communication on a regular basisAttending to and resolving FL/IHE queries related to content, style, language, grammar, and Enagos editorial processesConduct training sessions for new and existing IHEs pertaining to the fundamentals of English language and in-house process knowledgeOperations Management (through inter- and intra-team co-ordination and communication) Working in collaboration with the Project Management and Client Servicing teams to understand and efficiently handle client concerns, projects, and consultations end-to-end management to ensure client delight with our deliverablesWorking in close coordination with teammates to arrive at concrete next steps for FLs/IHEs based on client concernsWorking in collaboration with the Freelance Acquisition team to hire high-quality FLs for different services and projectsWorking in collaboration with In-house Editing teams for special projects and consultationsWorking in collaboration with the Training team to ensure continuous editor training and developmentWorking in collaboration with the Translation division (Ulatus) for translator and translation-checker induction and quality management (English language assessment)Establishing academic editing-related grammar and style conventionsWorking on several developmental activities and projects for internal and external clientsWorking on data, analyses, and reports as and when requiredDESIRED CANDIDATE PROFILEMANDATORY WORK EXPERIENCE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTSMinimum 1 year of experience in editing/copyediting and/or conducting language quality checksHigh proficiency in written and spoken English (near-native) and the ability to explain language concepts to a laypersonAbility to multitask and demonstrate urgency and driveExcellent time management skills and the ability to work in a deadline-driven environmentProficiency in MS Office (primarily Excel and Word)Good online search and information verification skillsOpen to learning new subjects and concepts while working with languageOpen to participate and oversee team tasks and activitiesPREFERRED SKILLS AND ACHIEVEMENTSExperience in publishing of scholarly papers in academic journalsAbility to follow a publication s guidelines (style manual, handbook, etc.)Ability and inclination to take on responsibilities beyond defined roleKnowledge of the STEM industryEDUCATIONAL BACKGROUNDGraduate or Post graduate in any of the below mentioned subject areas Physical SciencesChemistry/ EngineeringBiosciencesLife sciencesMicrobiologyBiochemistryZoologyBotanyBiotechnology
