Job DescriptionReporting to the Head of Sales & Distribution- India, the incumbent will be responsible forOverall channel distribution business for the assigned region, main responsibility it to manage the team and grow the business according to the business plan. The Regional Manager will also be responsible for supervision of a team of typically 15 employees in their assigned territory including the area retail managers.This is a business manager role wherein the individual will own the complete responsibility of achieving sales growth and expansion in key geographies through distribution expansion and implementation of relevant sales tactics at regional level.Responsible for managing and developing the sales activity of all General Trade MBO's, AMR's, Local Heroes, Wireless Chains & Regional Distributors within West India states.Responsible for evaluating and authorizing retailer locations.Achieving Results- demonstrated ability to overachieve on set objectives while focusing on the bottom line.The client is a fast-paced, high-growth environment. Successful candidates will be flexible,have great interpersonal savvyand the ability to deal with ambiguity. Key CompetenciesInfluencing and Negotiating Skills- a proven track record of negotiation at senior level within the channel environment. The Successful Applicant12 -18 years relevant retail sales experience in Telecom/Consumer electronics/FMCG/Consulting.Minimum 5 years in a supervisory role.Multi-site retail management experience.Strong communication and presentation skills.Previous experience of working within a matrix organization is advantageous.Candidates should speak fluent English and the local language. Responsible for strategy and execution on the retailers' store floor resulting in achievement of store sales targets.Lead a team of RFSM's and ASM's to drive sales initiatives at day to day level.Acts as an ambassador of the brand and oversee the merchandising and operations of all POS in the given geography in order to deliver an outstanding customer experience.Build a high performance team of Phone Solution Consultants (PSCs) and ensure seamless implementation of Assisted Sales Program. Responsible for managing Apply Area Store Managers and PSC's in the assigned region to drive appropriate level of sales productivity and performance.Must build strong, influential and collaborative business relationships with the retailers' store management and sales teams.Must analyze and report business results and trends on a weekly or daily basis (as required).Must build relationships with Carriers' field teams to integrate and implement the various programs with Carriers.Ensuring execution of merchandizing and programs at the store level, responsible for gathering market intelligence, inventory levels at regional levelMentor and guide ASM's and PSC's.
Degree: MBA/ PGDM
