DescriptionJob DutiesEstablish a plan/goal and monitor the results in all the following areas.Drive New Business growth through direct sales to target customer segment.Consistently achieve and exceed monthly booking goals through self-motivation, goal setting and solution driven approaches to problem solving.Demonstrate a strong sense of urgency to respond quickly to prospects, partners and customer needs.Leverage vast relationships in order to create new direct sales opportunities for AvalaraBuild and manage a direct sales force. Manage people and pipeline using sales tools, metrics, salsesforce.com etcUse superior interpersonal, presentation and communication skills for sales calls, product presentations, seminars and face-to-face meetings as well as hosting demonstrations and partner webinars.Attend and work trade shows and partner events including booths and public speaking.Demonstrate high levels of professionalism and leadership by being diligent, thorough and making a positive impact during every sales engagement. Be adaptable, focus on teamwork and maintain a strong sense of ethics in all endeavorsQualifications & ExperienceDegree in business or a related field, with a background in sales and marketing or account managementExcellent oral and written communication skillsExcellent time management and interpersonal skillsStrong relationship/team building and account management skillsLeadership qualities that reflect a self-motivated individual with the ability to work as part of a teamSeven (7) to Ten (10) years high-tech industry experience selling directly to indirect tax practitioners and strategic alliance experience to boost the direct salesSoftware sales experience, including ERP, Accounting, CRM, and Software-as-a-Service/Cloud Computing business applicationsUsed tool/metrics like Salesforce/magic number etcMarketing experience is not required, but preferredTravel to various prospects offices for meetings, events and trainingsTravel 70+%
Degree: MBA/ PGDM
