Roles & ResponsibilitiesProduct and Market Knowledge Develop an intimate understanding of products in each segment their salient features, technical specifications and capabilities, application, advantages etc. Acquire thorough product and market knowledge and ability to interact with customers techno-commercially. Sensibly track competitive developments, establish and build proactive relationship at customer end and create information sources Market CoverageComplete coverage of all customers in the assigned territory. Having defined the broad customer base, chalk out a systematic plan for establishing contact with each customer, communicating product attributes and identifying customer sales potential. Maintain a comprehensive customer data base in prescribed format to facilitate subsequent reference and follow up of leads. Market PotentialAscertain total market potential and conditions i, e customers ongoing projects, competition, prevailing support price, entry barriers etc. In assigned territory, gain complete understanding of customer requirements in terms of product specifications, quantitative requirements, support price past and present. SalesStrive to persuade customers to accept and adopt our product specifications at product enquiry stage and subsequently while obtaining RFQ. Closely monitor leads, actively promote, book and execute sales of products in each segment profitably and work towards achieving targets. Explore Opportunities Actively explore for and determine new product/principal opportunities and initiate search for sources. ReportingUpdate & reportmarket conditions, orders progress and projection of sales & collections. On a weekly, monthly, quarterly, annually and as and when required. Budgetary QuotePreparation and submission of Budgetary Quotes. Formal Quotes & CorrespondenceFollow-up with Sales Coordinator and ensure that FormalQuotes and correspondence reach customers in time. Order ExecutionInteract with Sales Coordination for order acknowledgement, processing, LC opening, liaison with banks, shipment/dispatch etc until full payment is realised. After product delivery to customer, ensure its installation, providing operational instructions and training to customer s complete satisfaction.COMPETENCIES REQUIREDTechnical Knowledge of the product(s) & solution(s) Ability to differentiate our product(s) & solution(s) from those of the competitor(s) and highlight benefits of MH products.Comfort level in meeting customer(s) or prospect(s) alone Ability to communicate/Overview presentation to the new customer(s) the unique features of our product(s) & solution(s).Ability to share a rapport with the customer(s). Ability to listen and understand the requirement(s) of the customer(s) or prospect(s) Presentation Skills to the customer(s) or prospect(s)Understanding the full potential / business opportunity offered by customer(s) or prospect(s) Ability to forecast the order(s) with a good degree of accuracyAbility to plan for the day / week / month / quarter Focus on the results orientationAbility to track the changes / developments in the market Ability to prepare a brief and precise reportWillingness to learn from every sales call to enhance the effectiveness Willingness to share technical information with peers/juniorsDiscretion in discussing commercial information on NEED TO KNOW basis. Knowledge Market, competitors etc QualificationDiploma/Degree in Electronics/Electrical either from regular institutes or from courses conducted by Armed Forces after induction Experience15-20 years of working on A/c and Avionics Systems
