Experience working with Microsoft System Center Operations Manager (SCOM) 2007 / 2012 including architecting and implementing complex designs (three-tier hierarchies, cross-forest, DMZ architectures, 10,000+ systems, native mode, HA configurations, etc.)develops, maintains and supports the Microsoft System Center Operations Manager 2012 R2 infrastructure. These responsibilities include authoring management packs, automating agent (Window\UNIX\Linux) installations and implementing SCOM infrastructure improvements in order to effectively monitor multiple data centers in different locations. The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate technical proficiency in leveraging SCOM 2012 to monitor large distributed environments.SCOM 2007/2012 deployment and infrastructure knowledge including troubleshooting experience, with single and multiple connected management groups.Full understanding of SCOM 2007, 2012 Hierarchy including troubleshootingSolid understanding of all System Center Operations Manager infrastructure componentsExperience supporting SCOM in an enterprise environmentWindows 2012/2008 SCOM management pack authoring experienceUnix\Linux SCOM management pack authoring experience.Certifications in SCOM or SCCMAutomation and Orchestration also desirable.Administer projects requiring implementation of CA Unicenter SolutionsResponsible for Requirement gathering, Configuration & Administration of CA SolutionsDaily administrative functions for CA Unicenter productsInteract with customer and understand new requirementsDatabase Management of CA Applications. Schedule database backup & optimize database performanceDisaster recovery planning and executionTroubleshooting & Maintenance of CA ProductsTechnical documentation & knowledge transferInstalling the DSM, Spectrum and ehealth for server monitoring.Discovering the Vcenter in Spectrum and ehealth for monitoring and reporting.Integrating the Spectrum with service-desk ,and configuring the differentProvide Continuous Improvement for L1/2 operations For example Identify tasks that could be automated, weaknesses in the existing solutionParticipate with solution release and maintenance patch deployment Adhere to technical compliance withCompany's standards (CMMI, Secured Enterprise Network)Assist with the maintenance processes to ensure operational integrity of monitoring tools technical platformPerform Level 2 support and analysis of incidents tickets and change requests as escalated from Level 1Work with local PCM teams for the development and support of performance reports based on data extracted from the monitoring tools.Validation of daily health checks and the processes necessary to ensure application availability as well as configuration and delivery of reports.Minimum 2 years experience with common industry systems management tools (i.e. CA NSM, CA Spectrum, CA ehealth)Ability to troubleshoot systems management applications review logs, identify cause and provide preliminary analysis prior to escalating to Senior Level-3 or vendor support.
