This role is part of a global Investment Accounting function located in the US, India and the UK. The purpose of this position is to provide change management support to the Investment Accounting and Client Reporting teams (in both the UK and India) for all tactical business system implementations. This role will be accountable to the Group Leader of Investment Accounting based in India and will be responsible for the required system changes associated with the Columbia Threadneedle Investments UK funds. From time to time this role may be required to also provide back-up support to the Accounting team.Responsibilities Daily support of any custom built user applications/reports to ensure accurate and timely daily accounting activities. Assist in developing solutions for routine and more complex problems for the Accounting Team. Support users in their use of Brio through an in depth knowledge of the Brio system, its set up and operation, structure and processes. Act as the Subject Matter Expert and first line of support for queries and changes involving the Brio system, including any report set up, SQL coding, or macros. Support users in their use of HiPortfolio through an in depth knowledge of the system, its set up and operation, structure and processes. Manage and support change requests involving the HiPortfolio and Brio systems, plus any additional applications used by the Accounting Team. Analyze, develop and test changes, then implement with assistance of business users. Collaborate with counterpart in the UK to provide support to all users. Provide coverage for any day-to-day/periodic functions for the teams as requested.Good analytical, quantitative & problem solving skills and ability to use statistical analysis and modeling. Strong knowledge of business operations and processes across multiple locations. Ability to communicate effectively on recommendations and analysis results, and establish and maintain strong relationships across the organization. Advanced experience with MS Excel, Word, PPT, SQL service to query databases.Preferred Qualifications Knowledge of accounting system HiPortfolio and reporting tool Brio will be an added advantage. Knowledge of systems environment and infrastructure. Knowledge of Accounting, Investments and Investments Administration.
